Now, Railroad Tycoon, II, and IIID are awesome games, but I dont see the appeal of a game where you drive the train.
 
Its a sim. It has a very niche market thats why it has such a high price. Same goes for Flight Simulator was it worth 60 bucks. No not really if your a gamer but thats not the point. Its a game where people can live out their dreams with out actually switching jobs.

I have a simulator for RC planes and Heli's and it cost me almost 220 dollars. Am I complaining nope.

Same goes for the Sims.. Why in the fucking world would you want to simulate day to day life when you are living one?
 
actuly in Japan and the EU Train sims are HUGE but then so are soccer manager sims

Wow...you guys are terrible. This is not a game, it's a simulation. Some people like flight sims...it would tend to imply that some might like railroad sims as well. I'm sure the job isn't as easy/straightforward as you all make it out to be.
 
Can you text message while driveing? If not then its not a good simulator

Pheonix Sim. Its a better heli sim then RealFlight.. Plus I hate the controler for realflight prefer my own radio.

The only thing that would be fun in this game would be if you can mess up stuff, like derail the train at a busy intersection and take out a bunch of cars or people. Maybe a head on collision with other trains and what not....

Imaging the carnage if the game has really good physics.
 
I think people who take a joking around thread like this seriously are the types who would pay $50 to play it.
