Western Digital RMA rocks!!!

So my 150gig Raptor took a crap about a month ago and I sent it in for a RMA. Today I got back my replacement drive and to my surprise I received a 150 VelociRaptor!! I am very impressed with there RMA service!

The manufactor date is April 29th 2009, so I doubt its a refurb.

Yup. Same thing over here. 150Gig started causing Win 7 and Vista to have fits. A quick diag turned up too many bad sectors. I did the advanced RMA. They did sit on it for a while. I waited a week and then called wondering what happeded to my replacement unit since they were supposed to ship first. They apologized saying that they didn't have anymore of the old units. I briefly complained that I have been without a computer due to the crash and need to get back online pronto. They apologized that they couldnt offer the same drive but would send me a Velociraptor. I'm not sure if the guy was messing with me when he asked me if that was okay. But in any event, the next thing I knew a drive was sent out that day, overnight air.

Very nice. Replacing Raptors with VelociRaptors is certainly fine by me!
