I am just wondering if anyone have got the Samsung 24" 2494HS monitor?.
It's features.
23.6" of viewing
Native 1,920 x 1,080 resolution
16.9 wide, 1080p HDTV
50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio
1,000:1 contrast ratio
Stereo speakers 2x 3w
HDMI input
DVI and VGA connectivity
300cd/m2 brightness
Response Time: 5 ms.
I haven't seen any big reviews on the web about this monitor, it was only release in Japan in December 2008, then it made it way to Europe. and America this year.
The Monitor looks professional made with the high gloss on the edge and at the bottom of the monitor with the touch buttons controls, on front left-hand sided with a power light in blue, cool, , under the monitor is the 2x 3watts speakers input and output “you can’t see them” the frame is matt Black and the screen is also matt finished, the stand has a metal plate cover with plastic is much better than the T220 and its stand, no wobble there.“I have never liked the Samsung mirror screen and the frames in high gloss finished”
I wanted to have a monitor with a 16.9 1920x1080 full HD 1080p to play my PC games on in True Widescreen, Bright, vivid, sharp colours and images. Photo's, games, show or movies...all look beautiful on this monitor, I like the Samsung magicbright3 and it features, I have no problem setting it up and install the driver, I have played COD World at War and COD4, Far cry 2, Fear2, DOW2, COH, Crysis, in 1920x1080. With 120HZ. First time I had it I had to turn down the brightness set at 100% there is no light bleeding on the screen and no dead pixels,The screen is 24" but have a viewing screen of 23.6. the monitor box is smaller and well packed
Pros: - Cheap
No Ghosting in games (FPS gaming is fine, An amazing deal, price to performance ratio is outstanding
Con…None I can think off.
I have read a lot of reviews on the 24” widescreens with 1920x1200 at 16.10, in my opinion I didn’t want that type of monitor in 16:10 because there is no games to play in 16.10 so I got myself the 16.9 that is much better for me to play games on who cares of 120 pixels more? For the price of this monitor.
I will give this monitor the five star *****.
