According to DigiTimes, AMD has released a statement claiming that Intel’s recent actions are an attempt to distract the world from its current anti-trust problems.

AMD added that should the matter proceed to litigation, the company will prove that Intel fabricated this claim to interfere with AMD's commercial relationships and thus has violated the cross-license.

Oh yea... that anti-trust trial has been going since 2001, and after 8 years, Intel NOW decides that they want to distract the world?
AMD == fail

"AMD says Intel Fabricated Claims"

There is a joke to be made regarding AMD's fabrication abilities. As in: Fabricating Claims vs. Fabricating Chips.

HAR HAR HAR

I wish people would stop bashing AMD. I was an AMD user but I couldn't resist the power of the duo core 2.

Has it been that long that everyone was crazy about the AMD64 3200+ and how it OC?

Yes AMD is playing catchup and are behind the power curve but has anyone stopped to think what the Intel chips would cost if they were the only player? Don't know about most of you but I can barely justify to my wife paying for a chip that is almost $300. (lowest costing i7).

Having a choice is good.

The Intel lemmings are just beating their chest. Besides, it's not like CPU's matter as much as they used to so let them posture.

I had a hard time justifying to my wife about buying a $150 CPU let alone a $300 CPU... Competition is good.
