Just thought I'd let my fellow nV users know that there is a new WHQL release up online today. Here's the link for 32-bit and 64-bit systems.

Leave feedback and related comments here.

Installed this in Windows 7 64bit and the installer screen says Windows 7 64bit display drivers, yet in Vista it says Windows Vista 64bit display drivers. Interesting.

Thanks for the links. Hopefully I can play Fallout 3 and NFS Pro Street now. The 181.20's CTD.

I'm really sorry that this forum is going downhill, instead of helping each other, people prefer to bad-mouth and insult others. Well, it's your prerogative, I do feel sorry for you guys, you seem to have no better way of expressing yourself than behaving like bunch of minors with nothing better to do.

If this thread turns into a flamefest I will report offenders and close this thread. Keep it civil per the rules, okay?

Now, how is this release working for you? It improved Mirror's Edge performance and fixed Fallout 3 CTD's for me...

less qq, more pew pew

Hmm I was hoping this one would fix SLI under windows 7. Ohh well... guess I will wait longer.

I saw somewhere that the big improvement was in Mirror's Edge (primarily PhysX improvements) - can't remember where I read that though.

I can certainly vouch for the improvement. Much less stuttering in-game than before with the 180's. I can't wait to see how this is going to look next week with a GTX 260 and a 22" monitor. :p

Are these any different to the 181.22 beta's? They've been excellent for me so far. Do i need to change or is the WHQL certification the only change?

Thanks guys

According to the release notes, they fixed Fallout 3 crashes in SLI at least. :)

I noticed something funny when I went into the driver page. They compared the performance to the 178 drivers, which first came in september 2008. I think its the 178.24 they compared with though that came in october 2008.

Here's 181.22 peformance increase:

Up to 13% performance increase in Assassin's Creed
Up to 13% performance increase in BioShock

Note also that one is XP, while the other Vista 64. Is there some employee of Nvidia which is fond of copy/paste, or don't they test the different releases and just throws out some numbers?:D As far as I can recall, there have been performance increases after 180.48 in Farcry 2...

hmmm, i've never had any issues w/ fallout 3 and any drivers. games only ctd once and i've logged about 20 hours so far. play at max settings 1920x1200 too.
