Texting While Driving is Bad, Doctors Agree

I am pretty sure I remember reading all of these already in the "ummmm, DUH!?!" section of the encyclopedia.

***true story**

I was recently hit by a Girl in her car on her cell phone holding a mega size McDonalds drink that she spilled all over herself.

She gets out and apologizes that she was on her phone while driving, i asked about the wetness and she was like "oh i had a drink in my other hand."

So either she has a third arm hidden somewhere, or was clearly not touching the steering wheel.

DUH

Nah... my friend does this all the time - drives with her knees while doing other things. As quoted above, true story.

This thread gave me a nice laugh but...

You guys can laugh it off as common sense, but these studies are used to make public policy against txting while driving. It's intuitive you say? Well, a lot of things that seem intuitive have been made into policy and later found out to be false, so it's worth having actual data to back yourself up.

this totally makes sense.

On the drive home from work today I got cut off by 6 people. 5 of which were on their god damn cell phones. I hate those fvckers. I turn my phone off on my drive home, and if I forget I don't answer it.
