Just got a ds - games ?

I just got a ds and I'm looking for some games - what do you guys like?

I am currently playing some old gameboy titles that does not use both screens
 
There are a couple of good GBA games out there. The megaman, earlier mario, and final fantasy games come to mind.

For the DS, I have FF3 and Sonic Rush. Sonic Rush is pretty good and is my favorite of the two. I know PS0 and Chrono Trigger are being released for the DS, so I am very excited about those.
 
New Super Mario bros.

If you liked the old ones, you will enjoy that one. The first and only game i have (other than jam sessions) but i love it.

Mariokart for the DS is also kick ass
 
Phoenix Wright / Apollo Justice!
Silly detective / lawyer anime game, it's actually quite fun.
 
The world Ends with You, Professor Layton and the Curious Village, Ninja Gaiden DS, Puzzle Quest Challenge of the Warlords and Tetris DS (if you can find it)
 
any castlevania

there is a new one that just got released yesterday

There's Brain Age if you like puzzle games.

If you have or know someone that owns a Wii, you can ultilize the DS's 'Download Game' feature to try out some demos.
 
Definately get Brain Age, that game is addicting :)

Advance wars is fun, new super mario is a blast.
 
Mega Man ZX and Mega Man ZX Advent are great side scrollers. I liked Advent more.
 
since everyone has mentioned the standard gamut of titles you should get already, i'll go ahead and mention ultimate mortal kombat 3.

plays awesome on the ds and it's hard as fluck.
 
A new castlevania just came out I bought it but have yet to play it.

Sonic RPG might be worth a check out.

Luminous Arc and in November Luminous Arc 2.

i just played some of the new castlevania... good games , better than portrait of ruin... but no even near dawn of sorrow.

get one of them
 
The previous posts are quite wise... All good recommendations... So I will only add to them
If you like turn based strategy RPG games Diesaga DS is awesome... with an incredible amount of replay-ability.The new advanced wars is very well done with online play and an interesting story.
If you like RPGs FF3 and 4 are both out there for good times...
If you like strategy game Age of Empires Age of Kings is VERY good, and quite fun especially with friends and often overlooked.
if you like to play doctor get get Trauma Center I haven't tried the second one yet but the original is a blast.
And for the best side scrolling adventure of all time (not to mention the easiest way you can go bald) get Contra! Although the classic Konami code doesn't work... =/
 
The World Ends With You, its the best RPG on the system, and one of the best on any system.
 
It's an appropriate response, if the original poster is a little girl there's a very good chance she'll appreciate those titles.

Hmm, as a VERY avid RPG player, I couldn't stand more than 30 mins of TWEWY. There's very little RPG element to it, just a lot of Ninja Gaiden-style swiping of your stylus while going cross eyed fighting in two screen simultaneously. Cute game, but definitely not for everyone.
 
this thread make me realised there is way too many good games on the DS...
