This reeks of new cards coming soon. I'm ready to bite on that GTX 260 OC, but I'm waiting to see what comes of the 270/290. Maybe we'll see the 270 at around 200-250. Nvidia needs to sell these cards cheaper to compete with ATI, and with the current economic crisis. Maybe this will be a good 8800 GT type card hopefully.

I have their 8800 GTS 512 OC. I would love to buy another one of their cards too.

Quite some price on these cards... I wonder what nvidia/bfg has up their sleeves.

If you buy the GTX 260 OC now, you can always do Trade Up if new cards come out within 100 days...

FYI: Currently ALL power supplies are 30% off, but you have to add to cart to see the discount. Prices shown for each PSU are full retail until you view your shopping cart.

I know, but the rumors are pointing towards the GTX 270 coming out around November. I'd rather wait a few weeks to get it, then have to wait in line and the shipping time.

I can't help but wait...so tempted to go for a 260 now but with the economy and year end sales, it's silly not to at least wait a bit since I already have a decent 8800gts.

Sooo temping for the 260 w/ Trade Up...

These deals are out because it's BFG's 6th anniversary, not necessarily because new cards are coming out soon. Otherwise, others would start to mark original 260s down again. Must resist...

Is it true that with the trade up program BFG has if you send in a rebate for a card, you can't do a trade up? I heard that you can only choice one of them both.

Looking at my meager HD3870 I'm reaching for wallet. Problem is I'm still at 1280x1024 so I'm going to need to get a new display 1680x1050 or more likely 1920x1200 to really appreciate the GTX260. If anything I should get the display first and once I realize [as if I don't know already] how inadequate the 3870 is then I can step into the GTX260. Resistance is futile methinks

doesn't it? And I still have a trade up option on my BFG 280 :D

Waiting to see what the GTX290 can do.

Ah so tempting to get 260gtx :D

I noticed my power supply wont handle 260gtx. So it's out of the question :(

why not? it should work fine. if it will handle a 8800GTX then the GTX260 only pulls a hair more. the difference is nominal

It only has 33A on 12V rail. 260gtx requires 38A

that makes no sense. It can't be a 182 peak watt card and take 38amps. 38 amps on a 12v rail is 456 watts. 33amps on a 12v rail is 396 watts. the GTX260 should only be pulling around 16 amps, maybe a little more on power up. You should be fine. If your still worried about it go post the question over at JonnyGURU.com

nvm...add to cart

hmmm guessing 55nm refresh of gtx 280s and 260s in a month? Anyone remember those insane evga 260 deals a month before gtx 260 core 216 (or whatever they call it)?

Getting close to my target of $200 260 no rebates...
A $20 rebate straight through BFG is as close as you're going to get for a while, new release notwithstanding. You do have until Halloween to decide of course.

I am in for a 260 maxcore. I also got a corsair 750 psu from provantage. I should be set for some time now.

Nice to see I still got a good deal even though I bought my 280 a month and a half ago.

Holy hotness of deals! Good find, OP. Plus Farcry 2 now!! Holy cowness... I was thinking of getting a 4870 1GB with some nice aftermarket cooling for roundabouts of $300 shipped. Would you guys say that $270 shipped AR for the Maxcore (216) plus farcry 2, plus a corny flashlight, plus 3dmark vantage ... is that hot enough to pounce on? And does it kill the 4870 1GB as far as value goes? Seems to me that it does.

And where do you get the mail in rebates from? I added it to cart and I'm just waiting to pull the trigger on one ... but I didn't see a link to a rebate.

Thanks, friend!

Now I just wanna make sure before I pull the trigger ... I didn't make out so well on the 8800GTS I spent extra on to get the EVGA one so I could "step up" later ... then the 9800GTX came out and it was the same freaking card for $60 more.

This seems like a good enough deal that step-up doesn't matter. It would be $270 AR shipped for the Core 216 version. I was planning on getting the 1GB 4870 from Powercolor for $300 with the good aftermarket cooling. Is there any reason I shouldn't get this deal? I've got a P5Q Pro motherboard right now, but I don't plan on doing multi-GPU anytime soon, and remember I have an EVGA 780i board sitting in my wife's computer doing nothing right now... What do you guys think? Is ATI gonna throw something at us tomorrow to match this? I'm a longtime BFG fan ...

....plus a corny flashlight....

Hey... those "corny" flashlights are freakin' bright! ;) Ask anyone that picked one up at Showdown LAN this year. You can operate on a PC in a dark room from 10 feet away. :D

Ya ya. I'm excited about the flashlight too, but nobody's answered my question yet ...
