During this current generation of gaming systems, being the X360 and PS3, exclusive 3rd party titles have been seeing foreign ground more often than not. Being a developer of cross platform titles has some great advantages. By going multiplatform, one could expect more purchases and an increase in sales, thus helping to expand IPs. While there are some really valuable reasons why it’s smart to drop 3rd party console exclusive titles, are there any negative ramifications to going multiplatform?

How about losing costumer loyalty, nerfed games, or consoles becoming more like PC than ever before?

I will be writing an editorial on this exact question in the week to come. I’d like to poll the [H]ard users here and get their opinions on the matter. Please do not turn this into a post war.

I prefer exclusives because I play mostly PC and I am getting tired of shitty ports. Games built from the ground up for one platform is the way to go IMO.

QFT. Shitty ports make me feel like a second rate gamer in the eyes of the devs.

20-25 Exclusives are better

Exclusives are the point of having different consoles. If all games come out on all systems then what's the point of making 3 consoles and PC gaming? Make it all for PC and be done with it. I love gaming from the couch though so I might have to bring my gaming PC to my tv and use my server for general web surfing.
