There were no tanks to drive, just APCs, there was nothing to fly. And I thought going through the underground mine took up to much of the game. I wish they cut out some of that and put in a tank battle, like the one that was in crysis. Not to mention the game performance was overall worse for me and the load times were longer. Hopefully the last game will be the best.

Also the boss battle at the end, could that be any easier? Pick up that gun, then shoot the boss like 10 times and its over? I don't even think I took damage during that and there was no skill in it. The final boss battle in crysis was way better where you had to destroy certain parts at a time and then he would die.

Maybe by the time the 3rd one comes out I'll have a PC that'll be able to play the damn game...

i haven't played warhead yet but everything you're describing sounds like an improvement to me. i hated the flying level of crysis. the tank level was ok but i could take it or leave it. i also don't care for massive boss battles which feel outdated IMO. looks like i'm going to enjoy warhead more than crysis.

Crysis = 1
Crysis Warhead = 1.5 (?) <- seems not to be the case as the interview has shown
Crysis 2 = 2
Crysis 3 = 3

Shack: Is Crysis still being thought of as a trilogy?

Bernd Diemer: Still is. [Warhead] is not a sequel, this is a separate story, stand-alone. It's not meant to conclude all the things in Crysis. It sort of fills into a couple of blanks in the original story, but it's not Crysis 2 or Crysis 1.5.

i agree...nothing pisses me off more than playing through a game...and then redoing the final "boss battle" 6 times because i keep dying because its too stupid and difficult. id rather see a story driven ending more grounded in reality any day of the week than "EPIC MONSTER KILL IT FOR THE LOLZ" way of doing things.

just personal preference though.

I could have done with a tank level, but other than that, the Warhead single player was nice. May not have been long, but it was action-packed and got the job done with the various gameplay styles.

Ahh well, there's always multiplayer.

Yeah, its ok though, your not feeling anything that is abnormal.

I didn't mind, since it was just a small, offshot mini-expansion of the singleplayer game.

I enjoyed aspects of warhead better, the mine bit was fine, but since the games length was so short it felt like it took up too much time. The tank battle was fun in Crysis to me since there were so many ways to go about it. Even just walking and using RPG's, some type of larger battle could have been fun but wasnt really needed IMO.

The resort bit could have been cool but it they bombed it without my help killing all but a handful of guys I could pick off from a distance.

The boss battle was better in that I didnt need a lock to kill the specific parts. The flying ship in the first would never have just been left alone to get a laser lock.

However having targets to hit would be good as long as you are always allowed shoot at them. That was always annoyed me in Crysis, when your going down the river before heading back to the ship that spider one comes and you cannot kill it :|

Not to mention the game performance was overall worse for me and the load times were longer.

Use CCC 2.21, works fantastic with the level 4 config on my 8800GT at 1080p.

Sweet! I was wondering when something like it would be released :]

Do you know where it would be installed if they are the Steam versions?

It installs an autoexec.cfg or system.cfg file depending which you choose.
Point it to the folder where it is installed, all is done for you.
