Anoyne find a fix for Warhead checkpoint save/load crash?

A ton of people have been experiencing crash to desktop during checkpoints and/or when saving and loading. This is highly annoying.

Anyone find a workaround yet?
 
This is annoying... Now nearly every checkpoint I crash to desktop.
 
I just got as pissed as Pamela Anderson's tits and had a chicken burger.
 
I'm getting the occasional crash as well but I'm running an older video driver so that's probably my problem. I'm running a older driver because it seems to really help my frame rates vs. the newest driver for some reason. :confused: Save the game right before you finish each level so you won't have to do much back tracking. Hopefully we'll get a patch soon.
 
hahahaha they still havent fixed this from the original game. I stopped playing the original because of this issue. that is really sad.
 
I never had this issue in the original game. I get it all the time in Warhead.

Yeah, it happens a lot in Warhead.

And it happens a LOT more if I turn off texture streaming to turn off stuttering:mad:

I never had this problem with the original Crysis either.
 
Warhead crashed for me every time the below the thunder level was loading. Switching to window mode stopped the crashing
 
I found the fix for this.... I had the same problem. Unfortunately it is the lack of ram. I tested it myself. I cannot play it with 2g of ram without crashing. If i lower settings it is fine due to the use of lower amount of ram. Throw in 2 more gig and it will be fixed. Don't believe me? Fire up the game for 5 min and then ctrl alt del and see how much ram it uses.... when memory is 95% or more if I save it crashes. I spent all day trying to fix it and realized this is wht caused it...

I'm running a custon config and it shows things like FPS and memory usage. I've seen Warhead using as much as 1.7+gigs of ram on my system. I'm running 4gigs.

I'm running 4 gigs on vista 64, and I still have constant crashes.
