16th installment of Lan Party of the Ages in the Portland, OR metro area, this time we're doing it in a guy's house in Vancouver, WA (right off of i205, 5 minutes north of the border).

Saturday, October 11th, 2008, starting at 6 p.m. anticipated to last 10-12 hours.
Entry is free, that's right, FREE. This is a BYOC, BYOB event.
We have 4 confirmed sponsors currently, Alienware, Micron, Bawls and AMD. The packages have not yet arrived, but I'm looking forward to some sweet tournament prizes.
We are anticipating ~16 people. The more the merrier, we can definitely support more.

See here for the LAN website: http://raybdbomb.com/lan/16.html

Games we will be playing:
Call of Duty 4 on PC. Teams of 3.
Rock Band 2 on Xbox 360. Teams of 3.
Ping Pong, doubles.
One more game, which has yet to be announced. If you have any ideas, feel free to suggest :)

Few [H]ers will be there, shoudl be a blast.

I don't get it... ~16 man LAN party that lasts less than half a day... and the [H]r's are going here instead of the 270 person LAN the weekend before in DuPont?

No disrespect, I might even come if it was closer (not going to drive 2-3 hours each direction for a 12 hour LAN party) but unless you're not keen on the big ones, it just doesn't make much sense to me.

Either way, have fun.

Yea, I wouldn't say it's for the out-of-towners. This is really intended for Portland metro only.

Maybe if I could catch a ride in a carpool or something..

Maybe it's me. LAN parties that are less than 12 hours or so just seem like a pain in the arse to pack up a big old computer, get it set up again, tear down 12 hours later and then setup again at home.

Hope you guys have fun, any of you planning to hit up the 270 man LAN this weekend?

Dammit, I thought you guys were talking about the superior Vancouver (Where I live). :(

If only!

If you're not opposed to going over the border, you can always hit up the LanPartyNW monthly LANs in Marysville. I'll be at the one this month.

www.lanpartynw.com - It's down atm, but has all the infos if you're interested.

1) I can guarantee 270 man lan is not free.
2) I can't find any info about the 270 man lan, link me?

I also do not like to drive more than ~30 minutes to get to lans.

Man I just moved away from Vancouver and just built my new rig...so sad. I live in teh dirty south and no one even knows how to use a computer...

Wait fuck that I'll be in town this weekend...IM IN!

The only monitor I have at home is a 27inch 720p TV...any problems with this?

Hey, now that's not a fair generalization. Lexington, KY ftw.

Ok so yeah I'm passed out. But does the guy passed out next to me have his hand in his pants?
