Lower end pc for my daughter. I'll be honest I'm poor to the point I sold my car to make ends meet yesterday. She wants something to use that's hers and not shared with my wife and I.

Doesn't need to be much. She would be content with a p3 or tbird mobo, chip and ram 256-512 mb of ram and a case. I have hard drives and cd-rom etc.

Let me know what you have if anything in the closet that your tossing out or not using.
 
I have a 1 gig celeron machine in a pink/purple kitty cat case (yeah, I know) that my daughter used, it's got 512 meg ram and an ati card with tv out, cd-rom, 40 gig hard drive, and a network card.

I can get you full specs and a picture of the case if you like.

you didn't really say where you lived, so I don't know what shipping would be, but I would be happy with $25 plus whatever shipping is which I think is a good deal. I just had to drop 2 large on a new laptop for my daughter, so I feel ya.

edit: by the way it comes with a legit copy of windows xp.
 
Damn if you were closer to richmond I'd see what I could dig up for you.

Sucks as the henrico surplus sale just passed. Could have picked you up a p3 tower for like 10 bucks.

Tenjuna: What type of ram, DDR 333, 400?
I can kick in a Gig stick free o charge Gskill or Geil, can't remember. DDR 400

Oh yeah, got an AGP FX5200 if you want as well.
 
i have an hp. former work office pc. has 2.4 p4, 512meg, 80gb hdd, cd burner. looks great-didnt see much use. 100 + shipping
 
Bump for a great cause. I had an old Compaq Duron 700 MHz system, but I had to cannibalize the case for my sister's rig. Plus the shipping would be redonculous!
 
I'm in a jolly mood.

Actually my mom's old work computer is sitting at home right now unused. Can't all specs:

-Compaq
-P3 900mhz?
-256mb memory
-DVD rom
-CD-RW rom (prolly dead)
-11gb hdd dead (I can easily find some ide hdds laying around)
-PCI RJ45 port!!!!

It is taking up space. Pay for shipping and it is yours as well.

You need any parts or if the other two deals fall threw I have a P3 1.0 with 512 of ram thats yours for shipping.
 
he will definitely be able to use the fx5200 agp card that was offered earlier...it has a lowly radeon 7000 in it right now.

it's got pc133 memory in it by the way.
 
I have a couple of sticks ( 512 x4) of random memory, ddr2, 500-800 or soemthing like that. Doesnt look like you need ddr2 but if you want can have it.
 
I may even have a stick of 512 left over, but condition is unknown, as I have nothing to plug it into.

I've got like 20-30 gigs worth of PC133 ram let me know and I'll see about getting you some for an upgrade. I'll have to go through what I have and get rid of the ECC stuff.

I am shipping tomorrow, and VA is 2 days UPS ground usually, so hopefully you will have it Friday.

If you have a wireless card you can toss into it that would be wonderful. Her room is upstairs.
 
wireless card installed, and it's all patched and updated...just gotta find a box to ship this in, and still hoping to get it out to you today.

OP, if you want the ddr2 ram i have as listed above ( 4 x 512) just Pm me your addy, dont really care what/if you use it or sell it etc.

I can start saving bits for a "newer machine" for my wife LOL (shes rocking a 700 mhz duron)

Again I cannot stress enough the appreciation I have for what everyone has done for her. She will truly enjoy it and get a lot of use out of it.

Once it all gets here I will snap pics of her opening it, and post them :)
 
If you need a decent case, yours for $12 shipped, has a few scratches but nothing a $4 walmart spray paint can can't fix or a sharpie. Works perfectly and includes a floppy drive and drive mounting brackets and a tricool antec 120mm fan.

Hmm, guess I can see when I get my wife's rebuilt.... It's got an XP 2500+ on an Abit NF-7S that will go to waste. :eek::)
