Facebook Ads Target You Where It Hurts

I had to run ad's on facebook for someone once, and I'll admit you can get EXTREMLY specific with the targeting of demographics. You can even advertise to someone that specifies their political views. That's how detailed you can get.

Facebook thinks that if I don't update my relationship status to "dating" more often, I might just maybe be gay. So every once in a while it swaps "29 and still single?" with "Looking for local gays?" *sigh* You're right facebook... you understand my sexual preferences better than myself.

See... I have a nifty trait that helps me with such ads. I'm fucking oblivious. I don't even notice the ads. That's why when people ask me what adblocker I recommend, I say, "Why? You pay attention to ads?"

Same. I don't even notice the ads anymore. It's become like television commercials where I'm expecting them and promptly ignore them.

If advertisements pisses you off, then you have bigger problems than you think.

Those of you who talks about Ad-blockers, when your favorite websites go offline, don't come crying to us about it. You killed it, you deal with it. But if the [H] runs out of money because of the lack of ad revenue despite tens of thousands of users, I'm going to hire Jeff Gillooly to swing a baseball bat at your knees.

I hate when an AD has something I'm actually interested in and then for some unknown reason when I click it nothing happens...
