This mod was meant as a straight-forward mod. It's mostly dress-up/paint/etc. This case is used for my tote-around LAN system using older hardware I had laying around. The mod theme is based around the film series of "Aliens"; this time the favorite ominous "Company" that is repeatedly sited throughout the films in the series. Weyland-Yutani Corp.; "Building Better Worlds"!

The plan from the start was to make the case look like some kind of company terminal/workstation with a hint of sarcasm for good measure. ;) I laugh at the continuous "hey man...what's up with the colors?" comments I get, because some people just don't understand my sense of humor. But I digress. I powder-coated the entire chassis & designed & cut all acrylic, as well as all the cut-out stickers used throughout the build.

Final Hardware Specs:
- Modified Cooler Master Praetorian mid-tower chassis w/ custom power & reset switches
- DFI Lan Part UT SLI-DR Expert motherboard
- AMD 939 X2 4200+ CPU (2.2 stock; currently OCed to 2.64)
- 2GB Crucial Ballistix DDR-500 RAM w/ two modded Evercool 60mm x 10mm aluminum fan custom cooler
- WD Raptor 74GB SATA HDD
- BFG Tech 7800GT videocards in SLi, stealth-plated with debadged/modded Arctic Cooling Accelero X1's
- Creative Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 Platinum soundcard, stealth-plated
- Ultra XVS 700W PSU modded w/ Xinruilian 80mm green led fans, sleeved, badged & re-molexed
- EVGA 680i MCP fan, modded, for chipset cooling
- Cooler Master Aerogate I rheobus, modded
- Stealthed & modded NEC DVD-RW Drive
- Thermalright XP-90 CPU cooler w/ modded Evercool 92mm aluminum fan
- 80mm green LED aluminum-frame fans, modded

Plenty of other pictures are available as well. Thank you kindly for your time! :)

Your color choices make me want to vomit.

Your other skills though appear to be good. :)

Incredible work! Especially the acrylic styling in that pic, looks very professional. I'm sure you could mass produce those and have plenty of interested buyers, a very intelligent/clean cooling solution!

Thanks, man. I appreciate the kind words.

Hey E.E.L., good to see you around these parts!

Hey, Craig! Yeah, decided to finally register over in these parts, lol. Thanks for the post!

ROFL! Yeah, that's first of many I'm sure. Just have to understand the tongue-in-cheek approach. Thanks for the mixed kind words, though. :)

oh i think it's well-done for sure, and that was meant entirely as a compliment. i love futurama, and bender's my favorite character. i have actually seen green and orange used as a corporate color combo somewhere (not to mention Aquaman's outfit). but i'm very impressed with the eye to detail and the almost mechanically smooth, clean lines you got in your custom acrylic work. if you don't mind my asking, how did you achieve that?

also, great touch with the custom stickers.

Hahaha, thanks man. I understood it as a compliment. Bender rules! I appreciate the kind words.

No, no problem at all, ask away. I'm a graphic designer by trade, so I'm extremely meticulous to the point of obsession with my measurements. I attempt to design stuff for a mod to look almost stock in a way. I have somewhat occasional access to a laserbed, so I design everything digitally then I lasercut it and polish it afterwards.

Wow good mod dude!! RESPECT!

Thanks, bro! Glad you checked in on the mod.

Easily the most professional case mod I've seen in many months.

Props and respect.

Very slick. I like the color combination :D Worked out REALLY well. Top notch execution and craftsmanship. Earns an absolute "Kickass!" and two thumbs up from me.

Anything else in the works? :D

Thanks, man! There's plenty of stuff 'always in the works', lol. I reside mostly on Bit-Tech. The stuff I bother to log or even take pics of is on the boards over there. Take a peek! And thanks for the feedback.

That looks freakin sweet! I bet it turns lots of heads at LAN parties.

Thanks, man! Oh, it does. Hahaha. That was the idea. I hated getting up from the comp to go buy another Bawls®, and forget where I was sitting. So this fixed the problem! ;)
