just bought a DFI and need help!

and was wondering does it also support ddr3? or do i need DFI LP LT X38-T3R?
and if they are two dif. boards, whats the dif. in performance between the two boards?

that one only seems to support ddr2 i could be mistaken but at least from the specs on a few sites you would need to get a different version perhaps this one since it is an updated chipset:

doesnt look like dfi makes an x38 board that supports ddr3. they do make a x48 board that does.

they might make a p35 board that supports ddr3.
if there is any difference in performance between the x48 ddr2 and the x48 ddr3 boards, it has to be measured with a microscope.

DFI LP LT X38-T2R is ddr2 only. I still wonder why they didn't add an s at the end since it does use solid state caps....just to let you know some heatsinks are a tight fit on this board cause of the humongous northbridge cooler. I'm using this board in my upcoming build too The fsb overclock on 45nm chips on this board has been known to be poor over p35. Most people reporting 450ish barriers(though some lucky bastards hitting higher).

the abit ix38 quad gt has same problem and overheating 5? pwm problem with quads overclocked.
