I was wondering what you guys think of the bad company demo? I downloaded it for the 360. The multiplayer I thought was aweseome aside from the massive lag that didn't allow you do practically anything. The gameplay is fun and probably will be a lot better once the lag subsides and the full game comes out with the full features and what not. I'm thinking about buying the gold edition for $10 more to get the 5 gun unlocks. Otherwise you have to wait to rank up to get them.

please dont buy the gold addition, this will just reinforce other companies to pull the same bullshit. You shouldnt have to pay extra for shit that is already in the game.

that's why I was sure if it was worth it to play extra to get unlocks early. You've got a good point there.

i thought the multiplayer beta sucked. infact, i played it twice and havent touched it since.

it felt way to open. any time id try to advance, thered be some ahole in a window far far away with a sniper rifle and he just pegs me 3 times. typically after the first shot i would be able to get a feel of where it came from, but with this game, it couldve came from anywhere.

also, i was in a tank once, blasting away at a building and the building crumbled but the guy inside was still a live.

wasnt too fond of the "gold rush" game either. thought it was just silly running from place to place trying to blow up a treasure chest. not very rewarding.

wasnt a good game at all imo.

and good luck getting me to pay for a weapon in a video game. its bad enough i have to pay for maps that are downloaded for FREE by pc users.

gone are the days where devs care about the gamers.

this was only the demo, on one map, and on one mode. I'm sure there is a capture the objective points like bf2 and bf2142. I think that the full game will be similar to bf2 and bf2142, but with better graphics and better engine with added effects and features. I think the full version will be much better.

i'll probably get a better feel in a few days when the lag on xbl goes away for the demo.

The audio was pretty amazing turned up, but there's just something about this game that looks cartoony to me compared to CoD4. I mean it looks good but not realistic or something.

I played through most of the single player demo. I think it's pretty good for a console shooter. The voice acting and characters seem pretty cool, not crappily done at all. The gameplay seems to be solid, it feels pretty much like the BF games on PC, you can especially tell that the vehicles handle exactly the same as BF2. The way you can blow through all the walls and stuff is neat, but crysis did it much better. The way fences just pop into dust when you blow them up / drive through them is just weak. Everything just dissapears and leaves a little puff of smoke where it was. Explosions are like nades in cs 1.6, they don't look much better than a cheap 2d sprite. So the overall physics / destructability leaves things to be desired.

The way the guns shoot and the way the environments look and how your player gun looks related to your viewpoint and all that stuff seems to be just like COD4, which i don't like at all. I'm probably going to pick this game up when it gets super cheap, just to play through the story since that does seem like it might be good. I'd much rather have a full on multiplayer centered BF3 though.

I finished the single player demo and it is ok to me. For some reason it felt like the camera perspective was a little weird. I felt confused easily. I also think it was hard to aim, but that may just me being used to PC gaming again. The audio is great. I cranked the volume and ran around shooting and blowing up buildings just to hear explosions. Graphics.... good, a little jaggified though. Definitely going to wait for some reviews before I buy.

Wow, you must REALLY be bad at this game because there is a delay in the travel of that sniper bullet.

I'm just going to say this game is wicked fun because I haven't had this sort of team work based gameplay in a while.

yea this game I a lot better then cod4 which is just a simple run and gun game that requires hardly ANY team work

i agree with jonnyk, when i first played the demo it was like bf2 for consoles. it wasn't too bad and it had its moments. i think people who liked bf2 will like this game, otherwise will probably stick with cod4 or vegas 2.

lagtastic? maybe i was just unlucky, played on some very laggy servers, and some not so laggy, but definitely not a smooth one. I might give it another try, I think it would rock on the PC, but my first Battlefield game played on a console, would take some getting used to. Enjoyed all the new things about the engine, so it would make for a good game im thinking, and Singleplayer was fun but seemed a bit glitchy at times.

well i tried both 360 and ps3 version and the ps3 is lag free whilst most of the time the 360 is laggy

I downloaded it for my PS3 last night.

I haven't installed it yet. I hope it is good.

It was okay....won't buy it, at least not soon anyways.

I feel the same but I can't understand why you can't go prone or jump over obstacles like COD4. Meh, the demo made me want to build my gaming PC faster to get away from the FPS console games.

just understand that such games are best played on a pc. the console just can't keep up. I have given up PC fps until I get a new game that doesn't suck.

FPS and MPS both are at pretty low levels. COD4 suffers from the same issues as cod2. graphics are great sure but gameplay is the same old shit.

tired of it all. need a hug.

That's why they call me
Bad Company, but I can't deny
Bad Company, 'til the day I die
'Til the day I die, 'til the day I die
