Hey guys,

Im planning out my first tattoo and im not much of an illustrator. Im planning on getting it as a present to myself when I get back from boot camp (Joining the USCG, I leave in a few days) If anyone could help out that would be great.

I love jeep wranglers. So much that I want a tattoo of one on the back of my shoulder. Im thinking a 1999 wrangler with one tire over a rock or something.

Kind of like this position:

(But with more visibility of the front of the car, a jeep wrangler instead of whatever kind of car that is, and no person in the front.)

Heres a better pic of the type of jeep:

Colors aren't a big deal, i know enough about photoshop/illustrator to make minor changes, i just lack the inspiration and creativity.

Any ideas/help would be awesome. Just post or pm me.

(when I get out of boot camp, when i get the tattoo, if i uses someone's design, there will be a tip)

i know my buddy does all his tats freehand off the top of his head.

people really don't know what they are getting until he is done but always VERY HAPPY and pay him well! Its crazy. Some people just have the gift.

how about this one

What you want to do with Tattoos, is sketch up about 20 designs that you like. But make sure you take them to the Tattoo artist BEFORE you pick one. They will give you advice about what will and what won't look good once complete, depending on where you want to get the tattoo done on you.

I apprenticed at a tattoo shop for 5 years and in that time I had only seen a handful of people come in with a piece of paper with what they wanted... Even up until then if they brought them up on a flash drive, or CF Card, we would come up with something better.

I'd take your idea up to a shop, and if they're a worthwhile business, they will have an artist sketch you up something and tell you to come back in a few hours. Either better if they aren't busy, sit with you so you can talk with them and express every detail you want or don't want..

It's going to be on your body for the rest of your life, so think long and hard about it.
Most artists these days will ink anything on anyone for a price.
