So there are a ton of choices out there, and i havent the foggiest which is the best! Been browsing newegg for a while now...and cant decide on which headset i want. Now mind you i do want the mic built into the headphones, i dont want a spare mic sitting on my desk somewhere while im playin cod4 or wow or what have you. Can anyone make some suggestions as to what sounds good, is comfortable(my little logitechs just dont cut it in that realm), and i can afford? Thanks in advance!

i've tried many headsets and there are 3 i can recommend

1. the koss sb40 already mentioned- best sound for a headset but lousy mic(so bad i soldered in a different one)
2. the steelsound 4h- decent bass for a headset (much better than the 5hv2 which i also have), and a great mic. very lightweight
3. the creative labs fatal1ty professional headset- very comfy, best mic, decent sound. on sale at buy.com for 40$ still- usually 80$

yes crappy mic... I'm just curious, does anyone know if the sb45s have a better mic?

The mic looks better on the sb45 (I really dislike those "plastic" mics)? but it's hard to tell until you actually use it. One thing with the sb45 - no line in control or mic mute.

It's quite simply amazing how comfortable these are, in fact I'd go so far as to say they might be the most comfortable cans I've ever had the pleasure of wearing.

The sound on the Creative Fatal1ty Professional headset isn't superbly wonderful, but it's by no means bad either. I use it for music anyway because they are soooooo comfortable. :)

It's worthy of your purchase at it's normal-ish $80, but for the $40 deal on Buy.com who could possibly refuse?

Well, i bit the bullet and ordered the fatal1ty pros, $40 aint bad....especially if they are as good as i have read....ill update this when they come in and let yall know!
