am i able to enable three monitors (2 lcd monitors, and an lcd tv) on one video card? i can do dual monitors but i want to span my desktop over all three.

I dont know of a card that will do that 2 per card.....unless you get a display port card...

well the thing is i already have all three hooked up, 2 dvi, and component, but its just very inconvenient to have to goto the display settings all the time to enable the monitors i want when im playing a game or watching a movie. i guess im looking more towards the software side if any

Nearly all cards allow you to connect 2 so not sure what Hemirick is on about ??
For 3 displays you will need 2 cards unless you dont mind the TV displaying the same as one of the monitors.
(ie one monitor port is cloned to Svideo)
There are more expensive solutions that allow one display output to be shared over 3 screens but they all need to be identical resolution.

If you dont mind the same being on the TV as one of the monitors, you can connect the TV via SVideo and two monitors via the normal connections.
You will need to set up the TV refresh rate and resolution and the monitor displaying the same as the TV will also be running those too.

What type of input ports are on the T.V.? If the T.V. has a DVI input then you may want to add in an inexpensive video card with a DVI port.

The advantages with this method are you can have your T.V. program running - and see it on the screen - while either one or both of your LCD monitors are being used for something else, such as gaming.

Have a look at the Matrox dualhead2go series - It will turn your dual DVI into one big monitor (stretch mode), however you can still run separate programs by just moving a window from one screen to the next

so far I haven't run into any issues with the Dualhead2go, although the system I used it on isn't so much a gaming computer as a workstation.

Alternatively, adding a cheap video card is a more flexible and cheaper solution, as was suggested earlier. good luck!

that matrox thing is pretty cool but im not too sure how well it'll work with my resolutions, cause im running 1280*1024 on 19", 1680*1050 on 22", and 1920*1080 on the tv. you also mentioned adding another vid card, how would that work? wouldnt the 2 display drivers for each card conflict with each other given they are two different cards ie. geforce 8800 nd radeon 1950
