Bioshock 2 Officially Announced

I loved Bioshock so I'd definitely welcome another stay in Rapture, so to speak. Like others have said, I think Bioshock 2 would work very well as a prequel, maybe showing one of the side stories of Bioshock.

I was listening to a podcast a while back and they were talk about a talk Ken Levine gave on game stories. In the case of Bioshock, the story is about Rapture itself.

For some reason, I'm thinking that BS2 will be a prequel about Rapture, but I can't remember why, sadly.

Just thought I'd throw that out.

It should be a prequel....even if it weren't one...The entire city of Rapture is a game within it self

I'm not sure how they'd do a Bioshock prequel, it would definitely be different from the previous "Shock" games since there would still presumably be living, non-target people in the city to see and interact with. The sense of loneliness was an important part of the design in the Shock games.

Thematically, Bioshock should have ended with the golf club. I wouldn't relish a second visit to these themes and they'd need to pick up a new angle of presentation if they want to beat their own bar of performance.

Yeah, in the ending you basically watch yourself get old and die with a bunch of hot girls with you on your death bed... which was stupid btw (I understand the girls where the little sisters... still stupid)

Hopefully they can make it with the option to disable mouse smoothing. By far the worst mouse control I have ever played in a fps game. It was essentially broken because of it.

Worst yet, they announced they would fix it in the patch, they never did. They made some mickey mouse patch that really fixed nothing and now just want to release a whole new game entirely.

Yeah im not too sold on bioshock 2 after feeling a little burned with the first one.

Perhaps this time I'll be smart enough to not waste any money on another Irrational product.
