Last night I purchased my system from newegg but I bought the ABIT IX38 Quad GT mobo.
I could have sworn I read it has support for SLi, but now I'm reading it's crossfire. I should have made sure before ordering, I just forgot I guess to double check.

So will I have to ship back this board and get an SLi one or does this support both?

Also, will this board work with just one nvidia card?

The only boards that support SLI and are available on the consumer market right now, are boards with shitty Nvidia chipsets. The IX38 has an Intel chipset, so no, it won't support SLI.

It will work with one Nvidia card though.

If you wanted an SLI board, you'd buy a 780i chipset board, even though all of Nvidia's boards suck. So if SLI is really important to you, you're looking at a horrible board which will probably die in a year or two.

Ok, gotcha. Thank you for the understanding on that. I'm really not interested in SLi anymore after reading the performance (or lack of) it gives. Is this board still good quality for running one video card?

yup.
If it doesn't come with BIOS 12 on it you probably want to update from the original shipping.
