The post a pic of an 8800gtx in your case thread

...but even with the long leads on the PCP&C Silencer 750 Quad, the reach to things in the Lian Li V2000B Plus II is a LONG one.
...the fans next to the motherboard, looks professional/factory, how did you do it? zip ties?
Thanks guys! :) TL, I'm not 100% sure, but I think PC P&C can wire to your lengths if you send it back. Worth checking out for that monster case. Krenum, zip ties were fed through the mounting holes to form loops. Then a quick zie around the loop and poked through the case. Another zip tie on the other side to "close and lock" up. (Basically just for a secure holding mount.) They're the stock CM fans and don't blow much air, but they are 120's. :p

PS. Finally giving IDE the boot put a really stupid smile on my face.

I can't let dworley have all the SFF glory... ;)

Here is my current project based on a SilverStone SG01.

honestly I personally don't see why you need a Dual 8800 GTX SLI for gaming.. personally that's overkill LOL:p

Oblivion magic fight outdoors w/ details maxed including 16xQ CSAA, SSAA @ 2560x1600? ;)

My friend.... I think you just blew dworley out of the water...

And stole his cake too.

Very slick looking man.

Thanks! I've got to give dworley some credit though. He was the first to stuff two 8800's in a SFF last November. I'm also using one of his motherboards (after an unfortunate toasting of my own). Without his inspiration, I may not have headed in this direction with my project.

a couple of requests for more pics, cleaned up the wires, plus with the panels on. Sorry for the repost. Once I'm settled in, I'll add the water cooling. Len

Here's mine:

 OMG I have the exact same case, mobo, PSU and CPU fan!!!

Please please please, can you take a 90° side photo of your case so I can see if there's enough clearance for the 8800 GTX and my optical drives? :D

How much space do you have between the cards and drives? Is there enough for air flow and cables???

Thanks in advance!

I spy a Razer sound card!

I'll have to take pics of my Stacker Evo tonite.

And what's wrong with the stackers? Best case I've ever owned.

I see someone else is a razer fan to, the only thing you have that i dont is the keybored.

$400? It better come w/ hydraulics for that. What case, it looks kinda small in the pic. Maybe that's cause you got the kitchen sink in there. :p

are there 4 computers in that case? :p prey tell, how'd you spend $9,000 on a PC? I thought I was bad when I built a top of the line gaming rig for $2,000

I had 2 of them in there until I needed HD space, But before it was like this.

Lets please keep this on topic. :)

That would be silicone, to prevent leaks. And he has a mountain mods U2-UFO Duality. I would have gotten that case, but i have no need for 6 intakes in the front like that. I am going to use just 3 for a rad, and my phase unit in the other side. My U2-UFO, is a great case, but imho the case is a piece of crap, the quality is horrible. The paint looks like a 5 year old did it, the windows are to thin. And it does not come with 5.25 bays, no fans, no fan grills, and the mobo tray is way to flimsy. If you want a case of this size, go with the Lian Li, the quailty should be far better.

mountain mods cases are the best thats wat il be buyin next:) love ur rig man almost cracked a fat over it ahhahaha

Yeah, the keyboard I use now, is pretty sick I wouldn't want to trade it, totally solid and moddable? Is that even a word? By a company called "deck"

Almost $9K with case.

Case alone is $400.

Seriously do you just like wasting money? Games are GPU limited, so a quad a 4.2ghz isn't going to help you there. And if you are looking to do video encoding and such there are much better solutions that overspending for a top of the line cpu that you just go a little bit lower and you can get two of them for the price of one of the top cpu's.

Even if you are using a 64bit os, is there truely something you are using 8GB of memory for? It's obviously not on server duty, so it's just a waste.

If you have that much money you seriously should be doing Raid0+1, raid is just to touchy to not be safe about it.

Then you buy a MB that can't even do SLI? Talk about someone with way to much money and no computer knowledge.

Oh and haven't been on here forever, so those are really old specs on my computers. Check out Jon Doms computers on The Mowers Clan forum and he's someone I respect as he knows his shit and has the money to spend on hardware without wasting money needlessly. Alright updated my computer specs.

I had SLI but so many problems when I had the 680I that I stopped. Hell I would of had 3GTX if I waited 3 weeks until the 780I. but il wait till the 9800's.

Back then when I did the post I had SLI with a QX6700. ;)

I know this is a little offtopic, but did you build your rig with your own money or are your parents just very generous?
