AMD and Intel Smugness

No more smugness from the AMD folks. I built my first computer about a year and half ago and after much research on this and other sites it seemed that AMD had better processors but this new processor called Core from Intel was about to be released. I knew absolutely nothing about CPU's, was and still am processor ignostic. I could care less about one company or another I just want the best bang for my buck. In my exhaustive research virtually every enthusiast website I read raved about this new Core thing and how its performance blew out of the water AMDs best processors at that time. However when I was doing my research I notice a strong vein of smugness from AMD fans in the forums, which I found quite a turn-off. The posters on this sites AMD forum doesn't seem to have that smug attitude anymore. And I find it ironic now the enthusiasts using Core are becoming somewhat smug.

for the record, I use an Intel cpu for some bizarre reason I feel compelled to be an AMD fanboy... Occasionally I get smug with myself, then i kick my own ass... :p

p.s. it's agnostic
 
intel makes CPUs for apple machines now. they probably had some smugness rub off on them.
