i know this isnt really a PC problem but i
was hoping that someone may have some
knowledge on this

i just put my wii on top of my tv tonight
and the wii has a large battery pack running
through the power supply cord. since the
cord between the battery pack and the wii
is short, i placed the battery back on the
stand right next to the tv. could this be
why the color on my tv is blue on one side
in the middle and green on the other?
either way i think my tv is now fucked but
any help/info/advice would be great.
i'd also like to know what it was that screwed
it up. thanks,
geoff.

geoff - that's actually not a battery pack, it's two half circular magnets put together.
so yes, technicaly it's f.cking your TV up very slightly

It's there to eliminate some RFI (radio frequency) Interference that may be picked up by the power lines
same stuff that you'll find at the ends of DVI & VGA cables

you may just have to find another location for your brick
BTW your TV should be fine within hours if not maybe a day or so.
Most TV's have degaussing coils which help to remove these things

The "battery" which is actually a DC power pack is based on a transformer and some stupid diodes, so yes it will f00k your TV up.

i've actually only started to realise
that when my wii is attempting connection
or in constant connection with the
wireless internet, that is when the tv starts
to get tipsy
