A-Data 2 x 2 GB DDR2-800 RAM:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820211188

Should be $104.99 after you add it to your cart.

Apply promotional code: EMC1207SYME01 for $30 off, and your final price is $74.99 with free shipping.

Code expires December 13th.

Anyone ever used these sticks before? It's tempting, $15 cheaper than the $90 Patriot sticks from Fry's, and now that I have to RMA my Buffalo Firestix (one DIMM died while running at manufacturer stock settings :( ) I could see going to 4 - 8 GB and selling my RMA'ed pair.

Absolutley SMOKING. $180 gets you 8GB of ram.... or if you order with two accounts $150

I have 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 667 already, can you add DDR2 800 to the mix? if so what will happen?

Nothing will happen, The DDR2 800 will slow down to your slowest rated ram speed and work just fine.

BTW Thanks OP im in for 1, gonna have 6 gigs of ram for the memory hog Vista 64

Added a set as soon as I got the email.
Now I'll have 8 GB of this for my new build.
I also ordered one of those Asus DVD writers w/free shipping.
They had 512 MB HD 3850's earlier today so one of those too...The Egg got my money today.

I have absolutely no use for these. I have 8 gigs in my current rig, I've got a spare set of 2x1024 Super Talent 800 CAS4, but for 75 bucks shipped, I'll use em as Xmas tree ornaments.

Great deal, although I jumped at the 2x2 DDR2 800 G-Skill for 80$ AMIR a week or two ago :x

Is this code only good for the A-Data ram? Can we use it for other stuff?

Will the code work if you sign up (change account preferences) for the news letter and wait the 24 hours for it to update in newegg's system?
