I snagged an OEM copy of Vista x64 with my brand spankin' new hardware, but I'm keeping my existing Raptor 74gb hard drive. I plan on picking up a Raptor 150gb + 500gb storage drive later on (Raptor 74gb will get swapped into another box), so will I be able to reinstall OEM Vista x64 on my Raptor 150gb when the time comes? I ask, because I'm totally confused about the "system builder" disclaimer and the real-world constraints of the OS's EULA.

Yes, you'll be able to, worst thing that can happen is you'll have to call Microsoft to manually activate it...

only thing they seem to care about is if you changed your motherboard .. at least that's only question that is asked from the automatron lady

if you use ghost or a similar product, you can image your drive onto the new one and boot it up like there was no change (except the increase in space).

That's ideally what I'd like to do, but how reliable is this method with, say, Norton Ghost? Has it been verified to work with Vista or is the OS a non-issue to begin with?

Edit: Another option I'm considering is installing the Raptor 150gb and using half of it in a mirrored RAID setup with my existing Raptor 75gb. Feasible?

I couldn't see wasting 75 GB, to be honest.

As for Ghost, it will work fine, especially if you combine it with BartPE.
