Hard Drive Data Recovery - NEED HELP!

Well, long story short...I have a drive here that shows up in Device Manager on an XP machine, but does not show up in My Computer or Disk Management. Is there software available that I could use to scan the disc without it having an assigned drive letter, or apparently even a readable partition?

How can it when the computer doesn't even see the drive? Try Knoppix to see if that works, otherwise, you may have to pay a company to get that data off (which is big bucks).

Edit: misread that it was seen in Device Manager but not in My Computer or Disk Management.

You will probably need to ask a data recovery service to get that data off.
