So i bought a fancy usb keyboard which is just right.

However, I cannot get it to work.

I shut down my PC, unplug the PS/2 KB and plug the USB KB. I power on the PC...nothing.

At first i thought it had to detect it so i left the PC on for like 10 minutes...still nothing.

Has anyone with this motherboard ever gotten a usb keyboard to work? If so what settings do you have for USB in the Bios?

Im stumped, especially since my USB mouse works just fine...

Help is appreciated greatly.

XD

Go to your BIOS under advanced and make sure the "Legacy USB Support" option is set to Auto and also make sure the USB Controller is enabled. This info is located on page 4-34 of your manual.:) If that doesn't fix it, try a different USB port.

Thx for the info...

ubfortunately, itll only work in the bios...beyond that it just won't work...Even the numlock stops funtioning.

bah!

How do you like your motherboard? I'm just curious (sorry for budging into your thread)

Not OCing yet, but i like it quite a bit. My only wish is that it had more sata ports.

5 just seems....not enough? XD

I have the same board and use a PS 2 KB. Will the KB work with an adaptor...usb to ps/2? I'll try that today and post back what I encounter.

I just tested a Media Keyboard from Logitech and it worked fine. I unplugged my ps2 and started the system. After it was all loaded up, I plugged in the usb kb and allowed windows to install it. I then shut system off and turned it on again and the KB worked fine. I used the top usb plug of the bottom pair, the one closest to the lan plug.
