Hey all,

Anyone know of a free antivirus that is of a decent quality? Ive been looking everywhere but cant seem to find one.

Nod32 is free for a month. I recommend it myself, but it will cost you once the 30 days it up.

I've grown fond of ClamWin for a free solution, following that AntiVir. AVG and Avast are fine as well.

we use AVG on all our desktop builds for non-domain users, and i personally use it on all my computers at home.

BitDefender is a good product, I'd probably put it in 3rd place behind Kaspersky and NOD32, but OP is looking for a "free" one...BitDefenders "Free" version of 10 does not have real time file protection..which IMO is very important. It's a good "Free" scanner for a manual scanner, to have as a backup for the super tin hat people who insist on many AV products on their machines.

Well, I was going to say AOL Anti-Virus but I guess its no longer free;

AVG would be my second choice.

Um, posting links to illegal downloads is very much against the forum policy sir_tiger. You may want to remove that post, though you are probably headed for a ban in either case.

On topic, I use avast at home. It's genuinely free and I hate recent versions of AVG, largely due to their ineffectiveness....

Kaspersky is pretty good. What i do is download the 30day trial. When that is up, i uninstall it and re-download the trial and install it again and i have another 30 days :p

I use avast on vista and it works pretty well, I am never 100% on any product since they all vary. But I do like the way avast notifys you when a new virus database has been installed.
