Need help with tracking software

I'm looking for a piece of software or website that I can use to keep track of stuff that needs to be done, but that can be accessed and updated remotely. We've got approximately 40 shops that need monthly updates run, hardware installed/delivered and I'm looking for an easier way to keep track of what has been done and what needs to be done still. Anyone have any suggestions other than online calendars?

Have you tried the Task Manager in MS Office's Outlook?

I don't have any recommendations, but what it sounds like you're looking for is some help desk ticketing software.

I've used a few, but nothing over the internet.

We're running a custom version of Request Tracker (http://www.bestpractical.com/?rt=3.6.3) at work. It's all open source (though the code is completely uncommented. . .), and still relatively easy to extend and add functionality. Might work for you.
