22" Glossy Monitors?

Are there any 22" Glossy monitors available other then the HP w2207? I have a friend who bought an Acer X222WBD from Newegg, its amazing...but they arent available anymore, it was a newegg only item too. I can't seem to find any others, alot of places have monitors listed as "glossy" but its the finish of the bezel not the actual screen.

Any suggestions? Its going to be used for gaming only.

i'm in the boat. the acer x222wbd had great review form newegg buys so when i was ready to buy, they pulled the monitor from their site. i played around a bite with the hp w2207 and really like it. i guess i'll be heading over to best buy with my $50 gift card this weekend for my glossy purchase. i wish there were more glossy screens to choose from.
 
On Newegg's forums (Eggspert or whatever) people has posted that acer was contacted and it was a limited run, with newegg as the only vendor selling them.

I see the AL22223Wd which looks similar in design, just silver in color. I cant tell if this monitor has the glossy screen though.

Is the X221 glossy? None of the descriptions tell me and thats mainly what im looking for. The X221 is in the same price point as the X222 so here is to hoping. Ill see if i can give there cust service a jingle.


edit: called acer customer service and confirmed that the X222W is discontinued. They do not have any other current monitors with crystalbrite other then the ferrari line.

I found this place online as the only other vendor that claims to have these... im skeptical about purchasing incase i get a switcheroo or something..

Try the AL2251W in the Acer Gamer range? Looks like another old model though

According to the Acer site Ferrari, Gamer & Prestige line have the 'Crystalbrite' coating, but no 22" that I can see other than the AL2251W


X222WBD - that's interesting, this is just arriving in Europe & according to TFTcentral is supposed to begin shipping at the start of August. Maybe they are trying to get rid of stock of a particular old panel, ready to update the product range with wide gamut versions??? Pure speculation & guesswork on my part. Would they be without glossy 22" in the product range for long?

yeah, why not just get a mirror made of glass, its alot cheaper than looking at your reflection in a glossy lcd panel. YUCK
