OCZ Platinum Revision 2 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2-800 $62AR Shipped

Is there bad history on these? What is happening with these ram prices (besides dropping)?

I could have waited until they paid me to take them but I bought them anyway;)

So did I and I am still pleased because I dislike Rebates.

OCZ was fantastic about the rebate on memory I bought last year. After 6 months and a bunch of phone calls to the company that was *supposed* to handle the rebate, I still didn't have it. One post on OCZ's message board and an email to OCZ and they sent me a check in a few days.

If I could get this rebate on two sets, I'd be disappointed. But not now that the ClubIT price is up to $71AR.

Oh... my... god. What is up with RAM prices these days? I'm tempted to buy RAM I can't even use yet just because it's so damn cheap and I'm afraid I'll miss it. This is insane!!!

Thanks for the heads up. Now I have to decide if I want this over the Corsair I was planning to get.

I saw this deal on SD and bought some even though all I have for my next computer is a mobo guess they will go in the closet as well.

Any reason to NOT get this for a future build? I'm currently rocking a 4400+ socket 939..

Not really any reason unless you plan on going 8gb in the near future....

With these prices, it seems a lot of people are buying ram without being able to use it yet. I bought 2 kits of 2x1GB Ballistix last month for $60 AR, and probably won't have my system build for a couple weeks still. With these prices, it's hard to pass up.

Well, what I mean is that sometimes there is a reason certain items have such a drastic price drop. Like poor oc'ing, mobo compatibility etc..
