Team 33 Flash Video

Well I finally dug this project up from the long lost past. Still very much a work in progress, but I've got a few ideas to play with.

Go watch it here and let me know what you think. The video ends after the recruiting poster but the music keeps playing, so feel free to close it after that or sit back and enjoy the tunes.

If anyone has any fancy dna/protein pictures or anything they want to add feel free to send them in and I'll work them in.

It needs boobs and explosions, those always get people's attention.

maybe some boxen flying in, when I think of the Horde, I think of mad scientist in a lab with all these wicked boxen! haha this is what I mean it's a good start!

Thats a good idea. Originally my vision matched the music alot better. I'm thinking of scraping it and starting over.....something a bit heavier.

Yes, more intensity would be good.

I agree, more boobs and explosions always makes things better.

A little slow. There is too much blackness between changes. I'm also not one for squashed text. There should be some talk about what F@H is doing.

Let me volunteer my help for this project. I do a descent amount of voice over work for radio and live events. If we could come up with a good script I'd be more than willing to hit the studio and cut the audio that you could then cut to the video cues.

I agree with the above comment that it does move pretty slow. I work in the AV production field and I really hate this ADD world where people loose attention very quickly, but that's just how it is.

Thanks for reviving this effort.

What is the goal?
a) internal team motivation
b) get current or prior folders to fold for 33
c) get new, "what is folding?" to see how quick and easy it is to help while being part of the best team on the planet

...if a... boobs and explosions are the ticket.. (sad.. so very very sad).
...if b... well, it's a trick. there aren't that many "prior" folders that a movie would get back that a "hey, fold again why don't cha?" wouldn't be effective on. ..and taking folders from other teams is worthless as far as a cure is concerned.

..if c... Great start (anytime we're moving forward is a great thing.. most people just sit on thier couch and watch Monk (a very clean couch that is). If C is the goal, it needs to have voice overs (chileman? ) that quickly, and non-technically explain that Stanford university administers a worldwide effort to help unlock the core science of how protiens misfold. This effort is a scale greater than any super computer on the planet; and it runs by each person doing what they can to help humanity.

What needs done is to download a safe, unobtrusive program from Stanfords servers. It will use your computers unused cycles (think of it as your computers "spare time"), to build a very small part of a very large puzzle. When it finishes a unit of work, it will send it back to Stanford and begin on another.

Team HardOCP is proud to have been involved with our members, and our computers since ...way, way back... and is the number one team on the planet.
