Ok I NEVER play games anymore. Been like 8 years seriously. I used to love the King's Quests and Kyrandia games, . I honestly LOVE the simplicity and well for me the games now are just too much. I know bite my tongue.

I am just wondering what game(s) you guys would suggest for someone that liked those types of games back in the day. Mind you I am about to build a machine soon and I don't game at all and don't want to spend more than say $125-$140 on a video card, so if I bought a couple OLD games what are the better ones.

I liked Myst, Kings Quest, Kyrandia, Leisure Suit Larry, things like that.

Any thougths?

Thanks
RYan

I would recommend:

The Longest Journey (2000)
Syberia (2002)
Syberia 2 (2004)
Runaway: A Road Adventure (2003)
Runaway 2: The Dream of the Turtle (2007)

The above games use the old-school, point-and-click method. I also recommend:

Dreamfall: The Longest Journey 2 (2006)
Fahrenheit (aka Indigo Prohpecy) (2005)

Edit: Can't believe I forgot Broken Sword 1-4

The Longest Journey 1 & 2 (Dreamfall)
Runaway 1 & 2
Broken Sword 1 - 4
Al Emmo
Discworld 1-3
Simon the Sorcerer 1 - 4
Inherit the Earth
Full Throttle
Sam and Max Hit the Road
Sam and Max Episodic series
Boneville
Fahrenheit (aka Indigo Prophecy)
Grim Fandango

All of the above are similar (or are) classic adventure games, and still able to be purchased brand new (if you're willing to import from Europe or Australia).

Sights like Adventuregamers.com or JustAdventure.com would probably give you beter results than here.

The Longest Journey 1 & 2 (Dreamfall)

Sam and Max Hit the Road
Sam and Max Episodic series

Best series ever. If you played the original back in the day, pick up the new episodes on steam or through telltale. If you go the steam route, I believe they also have The Longest Journey, another good adventure game.

NOt sure what Steam or TellTale is... but thanks for the comments guy.

I will have to check them out.

I appreciate it.

I do like the old style adventure games..
