Can I RUN XBOX360 Games on My PC ?

I Have Very Strong PC with 8800GTS .....
I want to know if there is something that simolate - Xbox360 console or PS2
and then i can run XBOX360 /PS2 Games.......

And even if there were emulators for the xbox 360, performance is never anywhere close to acceptable for modern systems.
 
I was hoping the whole "Games for Windows" and port of Xbox Live to PC would eventually allow something like this, where if you had an Xbox Live subscription, you could somehow play your Xbox360 games on your PC, although I know it would never happen because of piracy issues.
 
it usually takes a while to devolop a good emulator. i.e. the best emulator out there is prolly epsxe for psx.
 
As others have said..no. However it is possible to run an actual 360 or PS2 through your pc (something like the Adaptec gamebridge)...but it's much preferrable to just hook it up to your monitor separately.
 
I think the best were going to get is being able to play PC games online with 360 owners. theres not much differance between a PC and a Xbox/360. I know the old Xbox had an Intel celeron (basicly) and a Nvidia graphics chip. I think the problem would be more of a software issue than a hardware one.

I cant wait to kick the crap out of the console people because I can use keyboard/mouse in first person shooters and there stuck with the 360 controller. maybe then Microsoft will officially offer Keyboard/mouse support. I have tried several times to play a FPS with a controller and just cant do it, buti have seen some people that can do it pretty good but know where as good as an average PC gamer with mouse/keyboard.

This got me thinking, how they going to do the PC/console deathmatches with Halo 3 when the PC don't even have Halo 2 yet?

They intend to level the playing field by severely gimping the kb/m on the pc and/or improving auto aim to godlike aimbot levels on the console for fps's played over Live.. No kicking the crap out of consolers allowed.. They might not buy the next installment if they get their asses handed to them constantly..

B.O.T. No emulators that work, for the current gen consoles at least..

You were mostly right about the original Xbox (it had a custom-built Pentium III Mobile processor clocked at 733 MHz), but the Xbox 360 is completely different architecturally from either a PC or the original Xbox. There would be a huge hardware problem. The 360 has a custom triple-core PPC processor. You'd need to write a full-blown emulator for the 360 and computers these days just don't have the power to be able to process something like that.

OK. And then you'll see that people who have been playing just as long with a gamepad as a keyboard and mouse are on a level playing field. Maybe you've just been playing with the wrong people, but I play gamepad on PC FPSs all the time and I'm not really horrible. I do better with a gamepad and I know I'm not the only one. It's got nothing to do with speed or accuracy.
 
you can't be percise with joysticks. and you don't have the key binding options with gamepads...

I dunno, it feels limiting playing with controllers.

But no, we won't see decent 360 emulators for a while...

They might release them at the same time? Anywho, remember when Halo was going to be a PC only game before MS bought Bungie?

It was originally a mac game, then MS bought bungie and it became a pc game as MS had not announced their intentions yet for the xbox iirc.
 
i think you guys will be surprised how good some people are with controllers. i think most pc gamers will be in for a real shock when they get theyre asses handed to them from time to time. of course theyll cry about cheaters, but itd still be funny to watch. time will tell i guess. ive seen some really good console fps players. runnin mid-air headshots from long distance like its nothing.
 
In short: buy an Xbox 360 or PS2 if you want to play their games. Any sort of emulator that will allow you to play Xbox 360 games at anything resembling performance will be a while off, on the order of years probably. Playstation 2 emulation is pretty spotty too.

I've got an Xbox 360 hooked up to my 19'' widescreen LCD (which is high-def, by the way). I also have my PC hooked up to the same screen. To switch between the two on the fly, I just hit the button on the side of the screen that says "imput."

I think that a mouse is a MUCH quicker and more accurate tool with which to aim with in a shooter.
 
Uh oh, another keyboard/mouse vs controller debate :rolleyes:

Kb/m combo is better for twitch shooters, where you have to turn around quickly and shoot. Otherwise they are the same. And if you are bad at shooters, you will get owned regardless of whether you play on a console or on PC. Remember: gaming machines don't kill people, people kill people.

As for me, I kick ass at shooters on both console and PC :D

true, but that doesnt mean ur gonna walk all over someone with a joystiq. i seen a video on youtube of someone givin someon else the business in marvel vs capcom on a damn keyboard. he was doing launches, combos, and supermoves using wasd. just because a kb/m maybe better doesnt mean someone wont tear deeeeeeeep into your ass with a controller (no homo)
 
Does anyone know if console people are going to include mouse/keyboard integration? It's so lame they haven't yet, I'd think they'd sell more stuff if they did, I know I'd be much much more tempted to buy xbox 260 and ps3 if they supported such controllers. FUCK those damn analog sticks, I feel so young and childish with them...

...well, because I suck at using 'em, of course :)
 
i know ut3 will have kb/m use. im still torn between getting the pc version or console. id have to build a new comp to play it. ut3 is definately not a game u can play on a console vs a kb/m. its just wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too fast
 
A skilled kb/mouse will destroy a skilled console player... end of story...

Mouses are so accurate now, they keep improving technology as well as the surfaces... joy sticks haven't improved at all...

ya, played ut2003 a lot more tho. all im saying is dont automatically think that just because someone has a joypad that youre going to automaticall destroy them. time will tell i guess
 
the pc hardware does not run like a console, although the new pc's can handle the graphics that of a new console game, an actual emulator can only "EMULATE" the hardware as software, making the cpu emulate what the GPU (Videocard) should be doing, so you will only be getting minus FPS with an xbox360/ps3 emulator. all games are made on a Computer, so the only way you can emulate a proper console game on a pc, is by using what the game devs are using, but only before the game is recoded to use full console support. so no there is no reliable way to play new console games on a emulator for the pc.

Should have played Tribes 2 battles... mid-air spinfuser disks... flying/skiing headshots with laser rifle while throwing grenades and stealing a flag...

makes me wanna install Vengeance again but I don't know if anyone will play it... haha

Sweet, another kb/m controller pissing match. Listen controller know-it-alls, do us all a favor and connect your xbox controller to the PC and log on to some instagib servers. Please take videos so we can laugh at you.
