Hey all. Yep...title says it all. My 2 year old son climbed up on my desk and started drawing on my LCD screen with a ball-point pen. A few big swirly swoops right in the middle of the screen.

So does anyone know what I should do to remove it? I'm reading in some of these threads that alcohol is ok to use, while others say NO to alcohol.

Unless I get a good alternative to save this screen I will be forced to sell the child to pay for a new one. :)

Thanks in advance!

Someone here had the same issues and fixed it. :) Haven't tried it myself, so I have a little disclaimer there... :p

Sell the kid for medical experiments and use the $$ to buy a 30" LCD.

Thanks for the link Tamlin. Tried the q-tip with alcohol and that worked quite well.

I still may sell the kid for a 30" screen though.

I'm so mounting every LCD I own high on the wall when my 5 month old daughter becomes mobile.

I have my problems with my 16 year old daughter at times (OK...most of the time actually still I wouldnt trade her for anything,or any amount of money..........Now maybe if someone offered me a Nec 2690WUXi  :D

Seriously, if kids start messsing with your stuff like that, you need to get rid of them and try again. Adoption FTW!

You should be glad the kid didn't have the strength to press hard enough to permanently scratch the thing!

You're welcome. :)

Don't sell the kid. Document the event and keep it as an investment when introducing him to child labor later... ;)

Toddlers and technology just don't mix!

I just cringe when I read threads like this. If that ever happened to me, it would take all my strength to not try to teach the kid how to fly (from a 2nd floor window!) :D

pics of your daughter to see if the trade is worth it? :D

Back in college I worked at the Giant pharmacy as a cashier. People would always grab pens from their purse/pockets and sign the electronic tablet lcd device. Even though there was a special pen attached to the screen. Grown adults. Idiots. :p

So its not always an age thing.;)

edit: Goddamn that job sucked...

WOW, this thread made me laugh so [H]ard!!! I think I would have to introduce the kid to the paddle...at least...:D

To quote the late, great Rodney Dangerfield...

"The best thing about kids is making them!"
