Recently bought a 32 inch lcd from westinghouse the day after thanksgiving, and it has vga, component, and hdmi inputs. My question is, since my video card only has DVI outputs, would DVI to HDMI bring a better picture or should I just stick with the DVI to VGA converters that came with the video card?

You'll want to use DVI output on your video card and connect to 1 of the Westy's DVI inputs to get the best picture quality.

So, it sounds like you need to buy a male to male DVI cable.

I think he might mean, the westing house not having a DVI connector, but a VGA connector. If this is the case, yes you can purchase a DVI to HDMI cable.

Oops yeah forgot to mention that the problem was that it didnt even have DVI. I was in class... paying attention.

Ok so i will go ahead and get the DVI to HDMI.

Just realized something. I have a Geforce 7800. Would I get a better picture from DVI-I or DVI-D cables, or does it not matter and I could just use a normal DVI connector? I think I have seen some dvi dual link digital cables to hdmi. Im just trying to get the best quality picture from my 7800 to my hdmi port on my tv... whatever that takes.
