Wow. If my computer had dual link I would be snapping one of these up.

That is $1199 CDN. Today only.

Our Canuck friends get a heck of a deal. This is the new version of this monitor, right? Doesn't it cover a wider color gamut? Or is that version not out yet?

From what I am reading the -HC version is a separate model, only available to ... is it XPS purchasers? Something along those lines.

202276

Obviously not wide gamut, the wide gamut dell hasn't shipped yet, they certainly aren't going to give the new one away at rock bottom pricing.

$1199 CDN is an insanely good price for a 30" 2560x1600 display. Probably more of a clearance than anything. I imagine this model will disappear not long after the wide gamut gets into full swing.

I almost want to buy it in anticipation of a future computer upgrade that will actually let me use it in full resolution. But that upgrade is a ways off yet.

Anyone have a link to this deal? I don't see it on their web site. :(

if these monitors are on sale to move inventory to make room for the new 3007WFP-hc models could I buy one and return it in the hopes of getting the newer model? I've never ordered from Dell before, are they aggressive when trying to keep a customer happy?

Can some Dell experts weigh in on this?

I heard if you buy something and tell them you're not happy and want a refund they usually give you a discount as well, just to keep it!

Son of a... Just paid $1440 something for mine last week.

Call for a price adjustment. If they don't adjust it, return it and buy it again. $240 is a week or two of groceries. Not chump change by all means.

No kidding send it back if they will not reimburse you ! Its cheaper for Dell to adjust the price in your favour then have to take it back, then ship another...

Wow! Thanks for the heads up. Mine is on order, $1139 after my additional company discount. :D

A dumb question, but can Dell Canada ship to the U.S. or other countries?

I ordered this but didn't know that the 3007WFP-HC model is coming out soon. I am confused, should I:

Cancel my order and wait for the newer model,
Accept the order and sell it someone who wants this one at the $500.00 off
Beg Dell to ship me the newer model which hasn't been released?
Keep returning it until they upgrade me to the HC?
Change my order to the new 27"

is this even a decent monitor?

*note to self, don't buy expensive crap when jacked on painkillers*

sigh.....please share your insights, I am obviously inept and not qualified to mae up my own mind!

It should be a perfectly good screen. It's questionable how much benefit you get from the higher gamut panels. Probably just keep it, since it's a good value.

The 3007wfp isn't expensive crap. I can't wait for the price to drop here so I can pick one up at a reasonable price.

If I get buyers remorse maybe you can buy mine from me, I think CAN$ 1199.00 is USD $1001, plus a small handling fee! ;) I may not even open the box!

I wish I knew someone who worked at Dell so I would know when the HC's are coming out!

Does anyone know what revisions there are for this monitor?

I can't believe someone would pay $500 more for wider color gamut. I would have to be made of money before I would blow an extra $500 just for slightly wider color gamut that you likely wouldn't notice unless you were a professional graphics person and then it likely wouldn't be coming out of your pocket anyway.

Got it at Costco, and it looks like they don't list it on the site anymore. Argh. I'll see wht they do.

Don't see how it is possible with a resolution that requires a dual link DVI card and cable. Also, I don't know of a consumer level scaler that can handle such a high resolution.
It is possible, if the extra inputs are simply more dual-link DVI ports, like the HP has. ;) But to answer the question, from what I've seen, the -HC won't have any different inputs or controls than before.

Heya,

I am having a world of trouble getting this monitor to work with an XboX 360, it only will accept DVI-D and you need uber expensive video cards to run it. Pass through to pc, or some converting box...headache!

I am thinking of trying to get the 2707wfp instead, Merde! if I can only find the money! (hmm, tuition or hi-def goodness?). ooooooo, we can swear en Francais!

I called Dell Canada and they have put my order on hold. I got it for the Dell Days of Deals Price...$1199, and free shipping. $1366.68,

I am NOT selling this I am offering to transfer my order to you

If you missed out on the Thursday deal and want my order let me know. You should be in Canada, Toronto specifically to avoid any snags. If you have something, like a new problem free Westy W3, I can let the order complete itself and trade with you.

See! Am I not the nicest most excellent forum user ever?! And still a newb ta boot!

You realize Costco has perhaps one of the most lenient return policies of any company. You can return a purchase for any reason at any time and get your money back.
