Think I got it setup the way I want it, now. Monitors are angled inwards for better viewing. Still looking for a decent shelfy-thing to go next to my desk to put my HTPC on.


 
It certainly is the Jerker. I have the exact same desk and possibly the same accessories. I can't quite make out if he has an additional shelf up top like mine.

I do, but I was unable to get it all in frame, and there is no computer equipment up there anyway.

I should but my speakers don't work anyway. They need to be replaced. The rear channels only output in M3D mode and the the right front output is totally dead. There is a short in the speaker or the wiring somewhere on the left front speaker as well.

I will be getting new speakers relatively soon and when I do, I may set those up properly. I just haven't out of laziness mainly.
 
My play area for 2007. Getting my file server back up in a couple of days so things will change yet again.

Is your idea of Cable Management hanging a blanket up so no one can see the wires?:D

Here is my dark and ice cold basment and yet when im not at school or my job witch i have basically been fired from because they haven;t needed me in a month.:rolleyes: I spend every minute in here

Gotta love Top Gear, My favorite show in the world (yet I have to download it as BBC is dumb and wont release it on DVD....even though they release EVERY other series on DVD it seems like :confused: )

heh, actually yes and no. I need to re-arrange it, but I liked the celtic tapestry. I am going to put it on in a different way as soon as I find a second one that compliments it.
 
The monitor on the right will soon be my 3rd monitor although right now it is for my linux box.

Tell me what is the little player with the tin box you have on top of your speaker? Looks like an iPod mod.. but can't be sure.

All in all, a very nice and comfy dwelling.
 
possibly because macs have better styling than most pc's? im not saying macs are better/worse, just that i think that they are a lot cleaner and sexier
 
not to flame or anything but it is a fact the 3/4th of the people how say they hate macs have only used the one at their school that have everything blocked off or never used osx 10 at all. It is just like saying you have intel or amd it is your own predilection with who you like and don't but do you really have a legit reason to hate them. Like i hate intel and have a very legit reason to but I'm not going into that.

i agree and i own both and love both same with amd and intel even though i don't like them i gave them a chance you know
 
I've had to use Macs at work for years.

I have reasons not to like the. Even so my dislike of them is minor.

The size of the desk makes the monitor seem small but it is a 20" CRT, I'm going to dismantle it and give it a few shades of black tommorow.

edit: Oh yea don't mind the shitty Rasterbated image on the wall, I have a nice printed M3 but I need to find a canvas big enough to paste it on. ;)

This is a general overview of my setup, its in need of cable ties in the back to clean up all the dangling wires but im moving within a couple months and I dont see them normally anyways so they arent in view. I usually have an x360 hidden behind the center speaker on the lower main shelf of my desk but it's in another room as of now, I hook it up to my monitor via VGA and use the optical on the Z5500 to run the sound, the computer uses the Analog and Digital outputs.
2. The large speakers are run off the iPod and reciever in the second picture, They sit directly beside my bed on the nightstand made from a keg I borrowed from my old work. The reciever isn't nearly the best, it will be upgraded to a better one around the same time I buy a larger LCD monitor which is a long while away still.
3. A slightly different angle to show the dagger mounted on the wall between my desk and right speakers. It's the first of what I plan on being a decent sized collection of swords and daggers (Im looking at getting another dagger and fullsize sword soon, medievel style of course)
4. Closeup shot taken in the same lights as the first two shots, I just turned off flash to show what my room looks like with the lighting I usually have

Could dariuslatamus and compslckr please let me know what the mixing codes, or what brand/colour paints you used on your rooms? I'm looking to paint my room red when we move in a month or two and im starting to reasearch colours and desks, the workstations you guys have are amazing, perfect colour and style for how I am and what I want and im extremely jealous of them. I love your stereo setup. You must play your music real loud. I can see in the picture your amp is set really high.
