eVGA 8800 GTS - $423 buy.com

Beat me too it. I ordered one earlier. I had ordered the Dell XFX 8800 GTS. While it was a good price ($400 shipped), I would have had to wait at least another two weeks for them to ship it out. I saw this deal, ordered it, and cancelled my Dell order. Should have my precious this week. I prefer eVGA anyway. XFX isn't bad though.

Too bad the 8800GTX wouldn't fit in my case, and I'm too lazy to mod it.

Yes, everyone wait 2 more months to see what ATI brings to the table. Don't be a fool like I was and buy now. Every day for the next two months, I will curse myself for not being a smart shopper as I play Oblivion at 1900X1080. :( :( :rolleyes:
 
pfft bird in the hand is better than 2 in the bush. I like my 8800GTS and if Ati owns oh well. I'm sure somebody will give me $$ for my old card lol.
 
Dang I was going to pull the trigger on that GTX probably...but for sure the GTS if I didnt get the Gtx
 
For those of you who were able to get in on the low price - mine shipped today. I ordered it a few hours before the original post.

Arrives on the 30th to CA.
 
My GTX has been "sent to wharehouse." Which means my payment was verified.. only took them 24 hours to run my credit card through. :(

Should ship tomorrow, and be here thursday.. Which means I have to entirely reformat my computer and reinstall everything from the ground up thursday before a lan that night..

Baloney....you won't need to reformat if you properly clean old drivers...heck, mostly you would be fine even if you did not clean out the old drivers...


Formatting for a new video card is mostly bunk and very rarely needed...
 
I ordered the gtx before it went up, hopefully i get it in a week or so. Their reseller rating's scare the crap out of me now that ive checked it.

Please, everyone... buy all the high end cards now, so that when the new ones come out and the people with lots of money to spend can buy them and hit up the FS/FT forum and us poor people can get steals :)

With XFX you get some kind of a headset i think?

No, I need to reformat anyways.. and waiting till the new vid card gets here will be better cause then I can get everything setup for it!

Right, but I think you get Dark Messiah: Might and Magic with the eVGA. I don't know how good the game is, but I will install it just to see what it is all about.
 
they appear to have raised the price to kill any semblance this had to a good deal when you factor in that it's buy.com

Got mine. Very good condition. Perfect. Works great. Just played FEAR at FULL SETTINGS in EVERYTHING, with no lag.
 
I got mine yesterday.

Factory seal was broken on the box. I was pissed. But the card is in good shape - plastic covering still on. Not worth trying to RMA through friggin india, so guess I'll keep my "unclean card".
 
I had like one little finger print sized smudge on my card.. but its something I will never see, nor do I really care about it.
 
If mine arives and works without problems it could have mud on the box and i wont complain. :D
 
I heard some 10% off coupons were stackable on top of the 15% off already. Hmm, would love to know if those were still out there and if they still work?
