Target has a deal on 360

I just got back from target. and they have a deal on the delux 360. when you buy it you get a 50 dollar gift card at checkout. ( not much of a deal but u can buy a game for free basicly, so not too shabby) thought i'd pass it on though.

i live in southern california. its instores only as target dosnt sale 360's over the net.
 
dude, awesome. i'm like 2 minutes away from a target.the one in eagle rock specifically

which one did you go to? and is this a deal that expires or sometihng?
 
This was posted by another individual, on another forum I frequent. The source he got this information from is the wii60.com site, so I don't know if it's true or not. Either way:

According to a Best Buy's retail protocol for selling the PS3, customers who waited in line but didn’t get a PS3 will be offered a launch day deal of an Xbox 360 Premium System and two game titles, with a third title FREE.

The offer is said to be valid from Nov. 17 to Nov. 19.

It appears Target also has a deal to help reduce disappointment for those who will have no PS3 at launch. They will be giving a 50 dollar gift card with each 360 purchased. 10 dollar gift cards will be given with the purchase of certain 360 games. (Gears of War, Lego Star Wars, and Viva Pinata are eligible.)

Hmmm... offering 360s to people that couldn't get a PS3. I like the sentiment, but do that to the wrong type of customer (f@nboy) and you're likely to get a harsh response.
 
well it might give people a moment to think about why they're really buying the system. if they take a moment to look @ the 360, they might realize that a lot of the ps3 launch titles are on the 360 and it's cheaper. *shrug*

nothing you can do about the "boys" though.

What can be much harsher than "no"? I highly doubt even the most hardcore f@nboy is going to get violent or anything over a sales associate offering a 360 instead of a PS3 if they are sold out.
 
Yeah i couldnt resist. >.< i went back to target and got it. and gears of war which was also a 10 dollar gift card at check out. paid for the 360 first then got the card then passed it to a friend and got GoW heh basicly got the game for free ^_^. so far so good. had to update right out of the box to play gears though but was like a 10 second Dl.

and the games awsome!!!
