Just wondering if any of you guys have issues with DVI signal loss with your x1xxx series video cards? I'm having major issues, and while it's definitely a driver issue, I want to hear of your experiences.

My monitor receives no signal as soon as the login is supposed to appear after Catalyst driver installation (when the driver is actually being used)...

anyone experiencing anything similar?

post system specs and what type of monitor you're using!

I'm currently on a Dell 2405fpw monitor.

No problems here after about five weeks of use.

P5WDG2 WS PROFESSIONAL + X1950XTX + DELL 2405 MONITOR

I thought I saw another post with this problem. Maybe it's under the video cards section. Anyway, if I remember right the problem seems to be the 6.9 catalyst driver. Do a search or go righ to the video cards section, you'll find it.

I have the same problem.

I was using a Viewsonic VP201s 20.1" LCD monitor when this happened to me. I have since switched to a Viewsonic VX2025wm pending the arrival of the Dell 3007WFP 30" behemoth.

I'd like a resolution to this too, in case I encounter it on my new monitor.

System specs are in my sig.

The problem occurs also on CAT drivers 6.9 (with modified .INF files) and with the 6.10 betas.

Before people start mentioning it, I'd like to point out that you can not change to the alternate DVI frequency or do anything with the digital flat panel options in the ATi CCC. Those options flat out do not appear. You can run your display in analog mode, but not in DVI mode.

This affects both the X1950XTX and the X1950 Crossfire Edition cards with the above mentioned drivers. Reformatting and using driver cleaner, and using all the above drivers, or using Windows XP Professional x64 Edition all yield the exact same results.

Weird, I don't have this problem at all. I reformatted a few weeks ago and my current machine has only had stock 6.9's installed.

No problem at all. Alternate DVI mode works fine. No signal loss.

It works fine on my VX2025wm, but not my VP201s.

I have the same problem, my regular lcd works fine but my Dual link 30 inch has no signal. If I uninstall the drivers the 30 inch works. Does anyone here have a dual link DVI monitor that works with the x1950xtx.

I have the same problem.

BenQ 241W and 2 x ATI 1950XTX in crossfire.

2D works fine with DVI
3D I get a display for 1 sec, then a blank screen for 10 secs and it just goes round in circles. Plug the creen straight into a card with crossfire diabled and not using the silly dongle and everything is fine.

DSub with the dongle works fine

DVI with another monitor using dongle works fine.

Confused is an understatement!

Thanks
Simon
