Perhaps you should research english sentence construction so you don't let everyone know you are a 12 year old rapper wanna be.

I actually owned the panels, have you? Here is a picture of my 2007fp screen service menu:

Look it up, that is an S-PVA panel. This is the panel Samsung claims has 180 degree viewing angles. I witnessed how bad the viewing angles are first hand, have you? So bad it was unusable and gave me headaches.

I have researched the topic in great detail. Especially after buying PVA panels when I was almost as clueless as you seem to be. I know the pros and cons of all the panel types and I know what is in most of the major panels on the market.

You need to learn at least the basics beyond your first google search, if you want to lecture others. I would also suggest english grammar research so you don't sound like a complete ignoramus, to match your obvious shallow depth of knowledge.

Your mistake, you didn't read the LCD monitors I referred. I pointed out Dell 2007WFP. Son, so naive. The whole point is you can't blame the panel technology alone, but the electronics they used. Sorry for receiving a bad LCD monitor, not enough research and patients. Shit happens.

End of discussion, off-topic argument.

Finally, about the Dell E207WFP. We can take a wait and see approach until users and reviewers try it out.

Ignorant child. You are the mistaken one.

I pointed out that I owned a 2405fpw and 2007fp, you then posted 2405fpw and 2007wfp reviews. Your posting a review of the WFP does not change which Panel I own. You additionaly ignorance is in the input electronics. Viewing angle is not changed by electronics, backlight uniformity is not changed by input electronics. Neither is contrast, nor backlight brighness. Input electronics only change minor like color smoothness (freedom from banding) and generally only if you mess up inputs really bad. The panel that is sold to the manufactuer is pretty much a complete unit lacking only the input section.

You keep shouting from the rooftops and you have little clue what you are talking about.

Keep having a spasm, because I'm trying keep myself from laughing out loud. My naive son.

Again, you made a mistake. I did not say "input" electronics, I said "electronics" meaning components that make up the monitor. The "electronics" used by the manufacturer do effect the overall outcome of the LCD display. If you have a problem understanding, here is a proof. Electronics can make a difference:

You need to get a chill pill. If you act like a baby again, I'll just ignore you and move on. I repeat this off-topic discussion is over. LoL!

I have a 2005WFP, and 3 2007WFPs.

I love them. I don't have a <insert brand here> to compare them against. But I've been using them for awhile and I think I'm about to buy a 2007WFP for home. Its $339 right now on dells site.

The newer dell is a cheaper panel but I don't know enough about it to say if it'll work for 'you' or not.

What I want to know is if the 2007WFP will be cheaper then 339 (currently 15% off) after the launch of the new screen or it will go back to its higher ~360 price in order to distinguish a difference between the two ?????

Oh, and don't listen to people who argue online.

What do you guys think the contrast ratio is going to be on this monitor?

I hope at least 800:1

Does this monitor and the 2007 look identical, because then i can get one of each since i won't be gaming on one of the monitors so i don't need it to be very good.

Published contrast ratios are bullshit. Plain and simple. I've seen supposed 800:1 panels look like crap. And a 600:1 look MUCH better.

So pointless marketing numbers (grey-to-grey is as meaningfull as "improved refresh rate"), the widescreen dell monitor's I've used have been very good for contrast. Only time it bothers me even a tiny bit is shadows in bf2. But I haven't adjusted anything to fix it. And every other lcd I've ever seen has the exact same issues. (tiny)

Hmm

I would spend the extra money and get the 2007FPW. For one, there is a large chance you will be getting the IPS panel and the quality is far better than the cheaper model.

The E207WFP is about the same price range as the Samsung 205BW. With that, it is a strong debate as to which one is better. But if they stick with the 2007FPW design and keep the USB ports, I think the E207WFP is a good deal compared with Samsung. Otherwise, I would go with the Samsung 205BW.

In either case, I have to say the 2007FPW is absolutely amazing. Just got Age of Empires III installed yesterday and was able to play it at native resolution (1650 x 1080) flawlessly. The video card I have par with it is the ATI X800XL PCI-E. The system is Intel Duo 2 Core E6400 w/2GB RAM.

Specs show 160degree viewing angle so TN as expected.
Stand is different. No rotate, which makes sense with TN, but no height adjustment either.

This is about as cost reduced as a 20" wide can get. I wouldn't be surprised to see this at close to $200 within 6 months.

thanks for the link, you can also see the 207 does NOT have height adjustment like the 2007 has :( edit: oops didnt notice the guy before me said the same thing.. it still sucks though

Whats the big deal about that? I see people saying non swivel and height adjustment as a deal breaker.. I dont get it.. do you move your monitor around that much?

Swivel actually is kind of pointless with a TN panel as using it vertically wont be very nice due to the way the viewing angles work on TN.

While not a deal breaker. Height adjustment is a lot more elegant than stacking books under it to get the correct height.

Look for this to be the cheapest 20" on the market. Absolutely no frills/features, with the least expensive type of Panel (TN).

Dell is going to sell a million of these. Because they have learned what people want: Cheap.

if it's a TN panel and DOESN'T have height adjustment and you happen to be too tall or too short to view the panel in the right spot, you're going to have a less than ideal experience.. so it's not that you'd need to adjust it every day but at least to adjust it ONCE to the right spot lol.. but hey that's where your getting your cost savings, less perks

What type of panel does this use because it doesnt say? This seems like an awsome deal to me is anyone going to get this?
