Will Dead Rising come out for PC?

At this point in time, its 360 only. And seeings how Capcom isn't known for developing or transfering their games onto PC format, the chances of it happening are slim to none.

well since the development tools are closely relating to bring it to both PC and xbox360, you might see it some day, but I think MS wants the 360 first for now and then later down the road (1-2 years) you might see it come over to the PC.

I think the idea of easy porting is very tempting for all developers. Why not squeeze out more cash when a game's sales are slowing down?

360 and PC are going to have a nice relationship

Devil may cry 3 is coming to the pc, which i believe is from capcom, so looks like it could be possible to do it, i really wanted to try dead rising but in no way am i buying a gaming system to play one to two games on it, already did that for the PS2, bought it when GT4 came out, played that and a couple other games and thats about it. Its just collecting dust ATM.

As of now DR is a 360 exclusive.

However, XNA tools for developing on the 360 makes porting between the 360 and PC nearly seemless... yes seemless. Microsoft did this on purpose and expect to see a lot of future games ported between the two.. with ease.

Typically though Capcom is not known for porting to PC so don't count on this port. With games like Gears of War and Mass Effect on the horizon... its a good time to buy a 360 anyways

Yeah that's exactly what I first thought of, those XNA things that they talked about shortly before 360 released. I would like to play this game on PC too as well, but if I had to play on 360 I wouldn't mind that either. I'm just still waiting for more games to come out before I eventually get one anyways so either way I'm gonna be playing it regardless lol.

the game is too arcade looking to me. when i think of zombies i think of Resident Evil 2 for the ps1... dark and scary. where you fear every thing not running around jumping threw hordes of motionless zombies except for the few close to you.

i find the zombies in the recent dawn of the dead movie much better than whats in DR...

but i like Resident Evil 2's the best slow but deadly to come in contact with.

Isn't Onimusha 3 on PC now? I swear I saw that at Best Buy. I would say it's 360 exclusive for a while, but with enough harping from people who want it on PC, you never know. We do know that Capcom likes milking a franchise to it's bitter death, so the last thing I would do is discount it from ever happening.

Yea and Devil May Cry 3 soon and Resident Evil 4 shortly after that.

As for the comparision to RE2, this game is DIFFERENT (gasp) It's supposed to be funny. Capcom has even left the zombies after RE3

The style sounds like it's more of a console game anyway.

I know the console market caters to these types of games, but why not port more games to the PC? I also know that some developers have exclusives for certain consoles only, but expanding to other markets such as the PC can only be good for them IMO.

Yeah, I'm biased since I don't own any consoles right now but more game developers should use the PC market for ports of popular games. What I mean is that some people use their PCs in a way VERY SIMILAR to consoles, with console-style controllers, or even real console controllers, for games that aren't just FPS and MMORPGs. I'm all for the "PC style" games like those but there is a large population of PC gamers who would love to have more "console style" games available on their PCs.
