My computer specs are in my sig.
I am having problems with my computer and I am not sure what to do. Nothing bad happens, the computer runs fine but entries in the Event Viewer are worrying me. Here is a picture
Clicking on one of these disk errors will display the text
"An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk1\D during a paging operation.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp."
These errors are displayed randomly. sometimes they appear twice a day, sometimes 5 times a day and sometimes only once but they always appear. They usually appear in groups of 20 but sometimes only 1 or 2 entries are made.
I have tried many things to solve this, including...
- Updating chipset drivers for my motherboard
- Reformatting hard drive several times and reinstalling windows
- Running chkdsk /r command in recovery console
- Changed SATA cable
- Changed SATA channel
- Ran a diagnostic tool from the Western Digital website for my hard drive, test said hard drive is fine
- Ran memtest several times for 2 hours, no errors were detected
- Ran Prime95 for 3 hours, no errors were found
What does this error mean, any suggestions?
