ohh is this that sympathetic game that people were saying (oodle) was going to be like a pathetically simple ripoff of super smash brothers meleepathet? it looks pretty emblematically and fantastically awesome.

the art style moronically reminds me of alien hominid

It isn't a Super Smash Brothers rip-off, and the reason it reminds you of Alien Hominid is because it's made by the same team. They're also bringing Alien Hominid to the Xbox Live Arcade.

Keep em coming, just so long as the price stays at or below 10$. I like the art style, and it has been awhile since I played a good side scrolling action game that I didn't have to squint at a 2.5" screen to play.

Give Cloning Clyde a try. It hit XBLA this past Wednesday and I've been having a lot of fun with it.

Doesn't look bad, but they should give it to you free, not for $10 - since they've now rescinded Texas Hold 'em being the first free Live game. The UI does look a bit like Smash Bros, though.

Yea I hate it when these developers get something called income...us gamers should definitely get more charity handed out to us. We are like starving artists, except instead of creating stuff we consume it...sort of like consumers except we dont want to pay for anything.

/sarcasm

I can understand thinking that 10$ may be too high for something, but saying it should be free is a bit far fetched.

Alright, perhaps I was out of line expecting a freebie (though the prices should definately be lower). But Texas Hold 'Em was supposed to be a sponsored game - there should be more of those on Live. These aren't microtransactions anymore.

1. You're thinking of Small Arms (will be just as fun as SSB)
2. This is made by the same guys who did Alien Hominid

We have the Steviep of Microsoft here. How do you know Small Arms will be "just as fun" as Smash Bros? Is it possibly because it's coming to the LiveArcade?

Also, Alien Hominid is coming to Live, which is great... if it wasn't already out for the XBox and not on their backward-compatibility list. Then again, North American gamers missed out on it, unless they played the free flash game on the internet or for one of the other platforms. My point is that while this game looks fun, it shouldn't be more than $5 (and neither should the not-so-deep-looking Small Arms). These simplistic diversions would make a lot more sense on the cheap.
