I recently got a G7 and was wondering what type of mouse pad I should get to use with it. I would prefer something with a wrist-rest and not something that is going to take up my whole desk. The pad I got now is kinda small and the mouse seems to be jumping around when I use it.

Thanks!

there is like a billion threads on this just look around. I personally prefer Func 1030 but it comes down to your personal taste

Whatever you do, don't get a Ratzpad GS, I bought one thinking it looked nice, but after 2mo it started wearing away dramatically.

yeah thanks....i do know how to use the search button

however when i searched for Logitech G7 mouse pad I get "The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search".....which makes searching thru the threads impossible.

i figured someone could just lend a hand in this thread.....

search for mousepad in general hardware section or just start goin through pages there is more than a few :D

Listen to this guy. RatPadz GS are great, but they wear away very very quickly. Cheap but not worth the money.

Excuse the noob hijack question, but how does having a mousepad improve performance on a gaming mouse?

I use a Steelpad QCK+ with my G7. The best mousepad I'v ever used. There is a smaller version, called the QCK, if you dont want something that will take up half your desk. I have both.

I have a Ratpadz GS. I'm using still it after over a year (2+?) but in the center, the friction increased significantly because the texture wore away.

thanks for all the recommendations guys but I am still looking for something with a wristpad

I like my x-raypad Thunder 8. I like the rough surface side over the smooth sode. No wrist pad though.

are there no gaming mouse pads out there with wrist pads?
Why dont you get a pad that we reccommend, then buy a seperate wrist pad  Shock! You can do that you know..

That's the thing about america, we have a variety of products that companys produce that do good for their one specific purpose they are engineered for. Like cars, you cant have it all, or very rarely do you.

Buy a good pad, then buy a good wrist pad, then put it together. Too many people want non-existant all-in-one products that they think will be perfect when a little mixing and matching can be done which will equal a pair of products that work better than the "all-in-one" peice of equipment that's easy to think about on your shopping list.

This has gotten good reviews.. user reviews on Amazon and other sites say this is very comfortable.

Best thing for you to do is go into the store and test some out.

Just trying to help steer you in a different location than your looking at, not being trying to be unhelpful. Sorry.

thanks.....what stores carry wrist pads? bestbuy, compUSSR, office max? sorry bout the noob question but i never purchased on seperately....or tried one out in the store.

Not really sure..I'd just go around to different stores and look for some pads lol.

i used to have that, i loved it for a day but it was so damn slippery :p

i would personally go for a Belkin Mousepad with wristrest, doesn't take up too much room and comfort is a 10+

what do you mean by jumping? i don't think a mouse can move upwards unless forced by a hand motion

i like that belkin mousepad tho, surface is pretty good imo. like others have stated, Razer Exactmat w/ wristrest is the only other one i know of but it's huge so that's out. anyways, for the price the belkin mousepad can't be beat, gl on ur hunt.

Maybe I've been lucky, but mine is still usable after 2+ years of use. Do you use the teflon tape on your mouse feet? Maybe that's why... though i haven't used the tape in over a year. hmmm....

The older revision (non GS) supposedly lasts longer.

With the G7, it would be best to go with a cloth type pad. Laser does not track as well on a hard surface compared to a cloth pad. I suggest buying a Steelpad QcK and maybe look for a seperate rest pad.

ok thanks....guess that will be my choice...thanks!

i been debating buy this damn pad all day....and cant pull the trigger. I'm looking at the dimensions and they all seem to be way too big.

This is the pad I currently have

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817114113

Like I said earlier its a little worn in the middle and whenever the mouse glides over the worn out spot the cursor jumps. If I just bought a new one would it work ok or should I really go with the Steelpad QcK and just quit bitchin about the size?
