Okay I know that you can give azuras star away and not have it anymore, but I was wondering if thiers some alternative so you can keep it?

Yeah there are TONS of alternatives, it's just really up to you which one you value the least. I've had a few staffs that had interesting--but useless--effects. Giving up Azura's Star is about the worst thing you can do, since it's VERY useful. The staves aren't very useful at all..... maybe for a few minutes.

Okay, where do you find those artifacts?

A friend told me there is probably one useless item to give away (a staff which turn a monster in another randomly) and this can be found in the Sheogorath Shrine near Bravia.

It's a shrine with a lvl2 requirement so that is something you can get fast and easy if you wish to pursue the main quest.

What about the Umbacano quest? What is the stuff he wants? He obviously don´t want azura, umbra and such stuff...

Also is there something called "statue of fog". Is that something he wants. I am not sure if I have sold it or throwed it away or am just dreaming I ever had such a statue...

There's a statue north of lleyawin. He's basically a trickster god. Gave me some stupid weapon that I gladly gave up...but the quest was fun. All you had to do was screw with other people...and then the god gave you flaming dogs :)

There are at least two different weapons they give; one being a sword and the other mace of molag marr...I just give him the one that is not my skill, aka if I am using blade I give him mace...

That Mace is sitting on a table in my house in Bravil. It's better than the Staff of Saguign (sp)

*HUGE SPOILIERS AHEAD*

I turned in the Wabbajack from the Sheogorath shrine. The quest was super easy (and one of the funnest quests in the game,) you only have to be level 2 to get the quest, and the summoning materials are easily obtained.

The artifact itself is funny, but completely useless. It will transform any non-NPC creature into a different random creature. So that rat you use it on can turn into a Troll, or vice versa.

Thanks for the list, it came in handy.
Seem I have done all but 3 of the shine quests (1 being the Shrine that unlocks after the rest are done).

That's why i suggested turning this one for the MQ. The rest is pretty nice.

I guess I'll have to go get that staff and turn it in then, although I'll probably play around with it first.

Quest: Clavicus Vile
Reward: Masque of Clavicus Vile (helm with +20 personality)
Quest: Hermaeus Mora
Reward: Oghma Infinium (one time use book that increases skills by 10 points)
Level: 21+ and completed all other Daedric shrines

I found Mora while exploring the North West part of Cyradiil
I have completed all the Shrines and was really looking forward to doing the Hermaeus Mora quest. But During the Clavicus Vile Quest, I decided to keep Umbra rather than give it up. Now I can't do the Hermaeus Mora Quest. I tryed to give the sword back to Claicus, but it's too late, looks like I blew my chance.
IS THERE ANYWAY (even Cheat) TO FIX THIS PROBLEM?

damn you have to give up Umbra to beat the daedric quests :(

I wonder if you can give the dude umbra then steal it back or kill him for it

I don't think so... Stealing back from a statue might be very hard to pull off.

I gave him this one:

Quest: Malacath
Location: Speak to Thaurron in the Anvil Mages Guild.
Reward: Volendrung (hammer with paralyze and drain health enchant)
Level: 10

Pretty fun quest, kinda hard thou. I'm not a blunt kinda guy, so i gave it up.

EDIT: I just spoke to one of the guys hanging around the shrine and he "gave" me the quest.

Bleh, screw that. Umbra + Azure's star is godly...and that helmet you get instead of umbra sucks.

Yeah but if you don't get the helmet then you can't do the final shrine quest so its kinda a tradeoff... I killed umbra before the shrine even gave me the quest so I don't know whats going to happen. Maybe I'll get to kill her again or maybe I'll just give it up and cheat to get it back.

I guess you could just cheat and do the quest and find the item ID number and use the console to get it back.

I just like how the guy sounds like a fucking used car salesman, trying to say that it's a great deal, all while sounding as insincere and shady as possible.

Bullshit.

Umbra, a sword that can recharge your other magical weapons (and is pretty powerful as well), vs a mask that makes people like me better.

Hell with that.

I've not finished the quest, and won't, unless I find out the cheat to get Umbra back. That statue is not worth it.

I kept Umbra because it's AWESOME!
The soul trap alone makes it worth keeping, not to mention the 18 points of Damage! Clavious can EAD. I made the choice, now I can't complete the final shrine, but I don't care, UMBRA is controling me!

Or you can just tell him your keeping umbra, or can just say I was to chicken to get umbra and I think eahter way will complete the quest.

I gave away the rose of sanguine, it didn't seem to do anything when I tried to use it.

also- where do you get the umbra? I've done basicly all the quests in the game but I don't think I've came across it.

i don't use a sword or blunt weapons, just the good old arrow in the back method so the helmut is more valuable to me.

I am happy to report that you can choose to keep umbra and not fail the Daedric Shrine missons.. Meaning you can still do the
HERMAEUS MORA
Quests.

He gives you a sould gem and tells you to kill 1 of each of the 10 races of characters, I don't know if it's working but I have murdered every race minus the redguard. I am having a hard time finding Redguard.

Are you sure of that? Can´t you just say I don´t have it but you can do the final quest anyway??

I noticed one of the sigil stones I have had capture soul for 20 seconds.

Guess who just made a weapon more powerful than Umbra?

Umbra gave me 26 damage last I checked.

The Daedric Bow of Soulstealing that I made gives me a base of 22 damage. Couple that with Daedric Arrows (or, since I'm low on those, Ebony Arrows), and I've got roughly 37 damage.

Plus, add in the sneak bonus, and I'm typically 1-shotting most badguys, and stealing their souls. For those I don't 1 shot, I can switch to my other Daedric Bow and finish them off and steal get the soul out of them, or switch to my Daedric sword that gives me like 23 damage + 25 health damage on each hit.

Umbra was great.

WAS.

I'm doing more damage now than I did with Umbra.

Takes longer time to reload the bow though so if you don´t get sneak attacks umbra may be more efficient still :)

Oh, in the off chance that the enemy isn't dead by the time he gets from where I see him (and with 100' detect life...that's quite a ways), I can always switch to a sword. And typically, any sword will do if I'm sneaking from behind. Very seldom do I get jumped.

Looks like people are noticing the horrible problem of items scaling per your level, too :)

For instance items like the Umbra, Blade of Woe, Dark Brotherhood Robes, etc. all get their magical values depending on how strong you are at the time.
There are people with a weak-ass Umbra that does 12-15 points of damage, and there are people with one that does 27-30.
For all of those power gamers out there maxing their stats per level at all 5's - now they're going to have to level up to level 30 before completing any real quests so that all of their items are maxed, too ;)

Oh - of note, if you're keeping Umbra, don't complete that quest. The sword weighs nothing as long as that quest is active. Once you say "no" - it becomes 45 lbs.

Umbra doesn't level, however your blade and strength affect the damage you can do with it, also the darkbrotherhood robes and blade of woe don't level eather.

Why are people reporting and showing screenshots of the DB robes with +15 on all stats while I've only got +11?
Why are there Umbras with 15 attacks, 26 attacks, and 27 attacks?
My Blade of Woe damages at 4, while my GF's is 8

Seems like scaling to me!

whats your blade and strength, whats her blade and strength? I bet her Umbra and Blade of woe get both higher damage then you cause she stronger/more profiecent, also the dark brotherood robes alone get +11 to stats, the hood adds an additinal +4.

It's actually the opposite. She's very much a sneaker/spellcaster while I'm of the Rogue/Warrior mold. I started the Dark Brotherhood at level 2 while she did at level 7.
My current blade is 115 and strength is 88. Hers are both in the 70's.
The sigil stones do it, too...when you get 'em at level 4-5, they're much worse than the ones at level 20-25.

I know the sigil stones do it, and I guess the blade of woe might, but I'm sure umbra doesn't.

Thats why I have a mod that fixes Quest Levels.
My Umbra has upped it self along with me.
Since I got it with a lower level it was strong back then, now it would be weak compared to my level. But The Quest Item Leveling mod makes the items level to mtach me.

I am level 41, Umbra is level 40
Hell even the Blade of Woe is level 40 now!
