i sometimes connect my PC to my TV, and run it at 1280x720 when i'm playing games. for benchmarking purposes, i'd like to do the same while running thru my ViewSonic. when i look at my display properties, that resolution (in fact, ANY widescreen resolutions other than 1680x1050) is unavailable. when i check under Nvidia's display tool, it doesn't show that res even after i uncheck "hide unsupported resolutions" (or whatever it's called).
i see that Nvidia allows me to add custom resolutions, but then up pops the big "do this at your own risk" warning/agreement, and i chicken out.
can anyone confirm that this resolution will run fine on my monitor? how can i know for sure? and what tool or program should i use to achieve this res, if it's possible? thanks gang!
